After a bipartisan vote in the U.S. Senate Wednesday night ended the Democrat party’s hopes of forever rigging future elections, former Labor Secretary Robert Reich told Democrat senators to give Sen. Kyrsten Sinema (D-AZ) “the backs of their hands.”
Reich, a far-left extremist who’s worked for both Presidents Clinton and Obama, later deleted this call for violence, but as the kids say, The Internet is forever

“Tonight, Republican senators lined up to shake Kyrsten Sinema’s hand,” Reich’s tweet read. “Democratic senators should have given her the backs of their hands.”

Although Sinema backs President Biden’s push to nationalize our elections, which will forever rig them in favor of Democrats, what she voted against was killing the 200-year-old filibuster rule that requires 60 votes to pass legislation. She believes, correctly, that without that 60 vote threshold, our country would become destabilized due to the partisan whims of a 51-person majority. Without the filibuster, like the U.S. Congress, the U.S. Senate would not need to work with the minority to pass legislation, and every four years would be a rollercoaster of laws enacted and repealed.
Democrats don’t care about this because what they (and Reich) see in the laughably titled “voting rights bill” is removing the right of the states to set their own election rules in a way that would make it impossible for Republicans to win another national or statewide election.

You see, Democrats do not believe they should have to make their case to the people. They just want to rule over all of us.
So Sinema’s refusal to kill the filibuster, even to pass this one piece of legislation, was a true act of statesmanship and independence, which is why extremists like Reich are comfortable publicly calling for her to be physically assaulted.
Sadly, this call for violence from Reich, and the fact that no one in the corporate media have called him on it, is par for the course in a Democrat party that has gone full-Brownshirt. Democrats are now perfectly comfortable with violent rioting in their own cities. Democrats are eager to release violent criminals into their cities to prey on their own voters. That’s just the way it is now.
Violence is now part of the Democrat party’s DNA and standard operating procedure. The corporate media are fully on board. And this is why Reich felt comfortable being so open about his call for Democrats to give a woman senator “the backs of their hands.”

It's sad ... Dems know nothing but hate for others that disagree with them on policy.
Calling names and using the old bully tactics with some in your party isn't working too good.
Using such tactics are making those you're calling names & trying to shame is back firing.
Some in the Dems party see the light not to destroy what is the bread & butter for most.

She's the democratic McCain or Romney.
Should they be respected or vilified?

I know I'm going to follow anything this guy says, because he's a midget blowhard with an axe to grind.
If a Republican would have said to give a female politician the “back of the hand”, it would be the lead story in every news network, newspaper, and NPR broadcast for the next week and the media would have hyperventilated seeing who could express the greatest level of outrage. Charges of violent tendencies and misogyny would fill the airwaves 24 x 7.

Agreed. The left has gone off the deep end. Saturated in virtue-signaling and new wave activism, they’ve turned violent and in many ways, have started oppressing women again. For example, The trans-rights movements have put women in vulnerable positions even at the high school level.

It’s plantation and patriarchal thinking. Do what we say, or catch a backhand B****!

Raise your hand if you're in here complaining about how the Dems treated Sinema but you enjoyed the GOP treatment of Cheney.

Now smack yourself with that hand.

As I recall, Democrats universally rejoiced every time McCain or Romney caused headaches to the Republican Party. They were respected as “principled statesmen who chose principles over party”
You recall correctly.
And I recall most repubs. (pretty much universally in the PF) blasting them, and calling them Rinos at best.
My question remains, should the Sinemas, McCains, and Romneys of the political world be respected or reviled?

All depends on their reasoning. If it is principled like McCain, Sinema, and Manchin, I celebrate it. If it is a petty personal vendetta like I believe Romney’s opposition to be, then it is worthy of disdain

I think calling for her to be back handed is a bit much.
Should they be respected or reviled?

But we al get Reich's point, she deserves a backhand more than a handshake.

Which did McCain deserve more after his health care vote, a backhand or a handshake?

McCain and Romney were vilified by the Dems and their media buddies even though they were moderates.
No they weren't.
You guys are so desperately wanting to avoid the question.....and it's obvious why.
I'll ask again, should the Sinemas, McCains, and Romneys of the political world be respected or reviled?

Fair enough. Thanks for answering.
So if you believe their motives to be principled, they should be respected.
If you believe their motives to be political, they are worthy of disdain.

Cheney is a complete fool playing a game with her panties in a wad over her displeasure with 1man.

Sinema is supporting Senate rules that have been in place for decades in order to give minority political party a voice in government. This compromise is the foundation that our government operated on for over 200 years, quite successfully I might add, to provide legislation that both parties can support thru a “give and take” process. Sadly, we have got away from this over the past 20 years & not enough in both parties are willing to compromise for the good of our country. Too many are for “complete victory or to hell with it” mindset. That’s why we rarely solve our problems today and when we do, it’s undone immediately when the other party has a chance.
