You wanna go down a rabbit hole? Isn't just some Diety that thinks that life is sacrosanct. Doesn't even touch on the supposed "separation of state and religion" context that you are suggesting.. The term is not even in the USC...but has been run with for decades...

Funny thing: it isn't about women's bodies. Pierce em, tat em up, bigger boobs, smaller boobs, botox...I don't care at all.

A bunch of us are actually (*gasp*) averse to dismembering babies with heartbeats that pull away from pain, then sucking the parts out with a vacuum hose. By the way: more than half are female.

Actually, there is no political standard for being "centered," and I assure you that I'm quite "informed."

BTW, not wanting to chop up babies and suck them out of a mother doesn't really register as an "extreme" opinion.

Have you ever held the hand of a 23 week old baby?

Do you mind if I ask your age or position in life?

I'm not telling you to take anything, as I don't know your particular medical history, nor am I your physician.

I was explaining that a very practical approach to the extremely unusual case you presented was to offer a simple treatment that would prevent an unwanted and potentially dangerous pregnancy.

What percentage of these “babies” being “dismembered” would survive as preterm, considering a GIANT majority are done before 15 weeks? That language is a bit dramatic, and as someone stated earlier, there is nuance. It’s reasonable that not everyone views a non-viable fetus as a “baby.”

Why is it dramatic? Is it because it makes it sound bad? Isn’t that what happens? Haven’t nociceptors been shown to be present around 8 weeks?

I was trained with criteria to declare life or death. An organism (uniquely human set of - usually 46 - chromosomes) with a heartbeat, brain activity, and response to stimuli is a living person.

I offered no opinion as to treatment. I asked you directly about a 10 year old rape victim. You've failed to answer.

Meh, I understand, but would that activity exist on it’s own without dependence on the mother? More importantly, who benefits from forcing an unwanted pregnancy to conclusion, especially before external viability?
