I agree with this statement . I would say even if u strongly believe a certain way u should actively look into the opposite viewpoints . It could help u strengthen yours or even find weaknesses in it that u can fix with information

I see him here occasionally. In fact, I mentioned one time that I had lost my password and had got created a new account and within a minute he replied..which is why I said it was funny. Combined my accounts and posts and got my original user name back.

Democratic Socialist . I don’t believe that full socialism would work . I just believe the government needs control of certain things to help lower the wage gap that is going on right now

Between the 1% and everyone else . Minimum wage should be higher also . It’s kind of a joke that it hasn’t been raised with how insanely expensive everything is now .

Rent control
Child support
Child care
Cheaper colleges
Universal health care
More solar power support

Obviously I know that the chances of any of those things being changed is slim to none .

The problem is that fixing a wage gap won’t do a darn thing with the policies that created this extreme high cost of living.

My answer is 18 dollars a hour but even then it wouldn’t fix things with how awful rent control is and child care cost . IMO u just can’t fix these things without government control of them and that’s not even a sure way to fix them .

With the Universal Healthcare. Is private insurance completely eliminated? Is this Obamacare 2.0 or is this a Govt takeover.

Because I can’t think of anything much more frightening, given the unprecedented amount of overreach our Federal Govt exercised during the pandemic, than the Govt telling every American “You have one healthcare option now. You will receive your card in the mail. You can find all the guidelines concerning treatments, facilities, Doctors, and patient responsibility at UShealthcare.gov”.

If that scenario doesn’t scare the sh*t outta you, I don’t know what will.

I don’t think Private Insurance should be fully eliminated but I do believe people who can’t afford to go to the Doctor should be able to . Obviously u would need to look into the causes and effects of this to truly understand the best way to accomplish this issue
