Roe vs Wade Overturned

Why not $19 an hour?
According to people that study these things to fix the wage gape between the the most wealthy and people in poverty u would need to make the minimum wage 24 dollars a hour but I personally don’t see that as feesable . 18 dollars feels like a solid starting point to afford basic living standards in America to me . I could be wrong on this of course

You realize that $18/hr would quickly become the old $10/hr, right?

Why so low. If $24 is good why not $50 an hour. Why stop at pulling poor folks out of poverty. Let’s make everyone rich.

Who do you think actually pays for the cost in labor increase?

Between the 1% and everyone else . Minimum wage should be higher also . It’s kind of a joke that it hasn’t been raised with how insanely expensive everything is now .
Are you currently earning minimum wage?

Manchin just supported the filibuster and I take my vote of confidence back. Forget what I said about Manchin. I tried.

He just gained a notch with everyone that understands why trying to use a majority to suspend rules because of feelings and knee jerk reactions is a BAD idea .

It’s hard to believe that everything got “insanely expensive” shortly after a bunch of liberal states started legislating a $15/hour minimum wage.

With the Universal Healthcare. Is private insurance completely eliminated? Is this Obamacare 2.0 or is this a Govt takeover.

Because I can’t think of anything much more frightening, given the unprecedented amount of overreach our Federal Govt exercised during the pandemic, than the Govt telling every American “You have one healthcare option now. You will receive your card in the mail. You can find all the guidelines concerning treatments, facilities, Doctors, and patient responsibility at UShealthcare.gov”.

If that scenario doesn’t scare the sh*t outta you, I don’t know what will.
The government has done such a “killer” job with the VA over the years. Why not?

If the minimum wage is $24 per hour, then an employee would need to produce at least $24 per hour times some profit multiplier worth of value to his employer. Do you think that everyone who is currently employed at minimum wage will be worth $24 plus per hour to his employer? If not, then those people would quickly find themselves in the unemployment line. You can't cut off the bottom rungs of the ladder to economic mobility and expect the people at the bottom to start climbing.
