Universal healthcare would require we either tax our poor, lower the quality of our care, or both. We currently have the best healthcare on the planet. There’s a false notion that we can just cut military spending to pay for it, but I’d challenge you to look at our Medicare budget and compare it to the DOD budget, then ask how you’re going to extend that to everyone for less money than you’re currently paying.
I’m assuming you want the government to subsidize solar power at the expense of cheaper alternatives. The natural question this creates is “why would you want to make people poorer today (more expensive energy) for the hope that Americans 100 years from now may be able to live slightly better, especially since throughout history the standard of living has almost always increased every decade”
