I want to agree with this, but the media is looking for a reason to keep us out. From the comments about UGA just toying with Florida to this nonsense, the bias is there. Win Saturday and we shut them all up. We can also beat Texas or ATM in Atlanta.Compare our schedule to OM and ask yourself whose schedule will come back to haunt them. If the SEC gets 4 teams in and we are 10-2 then this Saturday is not a must win game.
Bama bias goes way back to the Bear Bryant years. For years then, the SEC was a 6 game conference schedule for everyone - except Bama. They got to schedule a 7th game for some reason. So if they finished the season tied in losses with another team, they had one more win giving them first place and the Sugar Bowl invite.I did read the whole thread. For years there has been a bama bias, mostly earned through the Saban years. They get benefit of the doubt. Last year they had one loss and got in over the back to back champs with the same record, and an undefeated conference champ.
I like to think of it like this. We beat Bama. It was no fluke.Saying Tennessee better win out because even if Bama were to have 3 losses they should get in over a 10-2 UT team. There are way too many Gumps on media panels these days trying to pump up playoff committees.
Wait is this true?Bama bias goes way back to the Bear Bryant years. For years then, the SEC was a 6 game conference schedule for everyone - except Bama. Everybody knows that’s a load of crap. I can’t even take the dude serious bc he’s so delusional.Saying Tennessee better win out because even if Bama were to have 3 losses they should get in over a 10-2 UT team. There are way too many Gumps on media panels these days trying to pump up playoff committees.
