Romney/Paul 2012?

the two are just so different. He would have to pretty much bite his lip for 8 years.

And by the time he could run for the top seat, he'd be pretty old.

Paul knows potus is a fantasy. This would be a great opportinity imo.

Besides, think of all the tin foil hat conspiracy theories that would come out.

agist imo...

Seems there is precedent for the last couple of Veeps to have a lot of influence on the POTUS. Maybe RP would see this as his last best chance to get into the decision making process.

He hasnt been sober in his adult life.

I think it could be a good pairing if Romney actually listens to Paul and they sort of even each other out.

Best chance for Romney to win POTUS IMO seeing how he has issues with the independents:

Not really sure how i would feel about it. Dr. Paul as VP would be huge though.
I agree, that is a ticket that would beat Obama for sure.

My thoughts....

1) I can see Paul saying, "I won't do it because it would be an endorsement of his policies", and I can see him saying, "I will do it because I think I can have influence over policy".

2) It would be a great position of influence for Paul, but since he believes in the constitution, and it basically empowers the VP to do nothing, he'd have very little direct impact on anything.

3) If Romney died in office, this would be history repeating itself. John Tyler all over again.

Tippecanoe and .... Paul too?

It's not quite as catchy.

It would be a solid ticket, but it would just add fuel to fire for race-baiting idiots like LG who will point to a rich white guy at the top of the GOP ticket and an old white guy selected as VP.

Isn't he going to say that no matter who's selected?
