Conversation between a Randite and a Dem:

Randite: we should go back to the Gold Standard.

Dem: no we shouldn't, its stupid.

R: why?

D: because stupid people suggest it.

R: what makes them stupid.

D: cuz they suggest stupid ideas like the gold standard.

rinse and repeat

Most so-called conservatives hate Paul because he has the nerve to say that some people should be allowed to behave the way they want as long as they are not hurting anyone else even though Paul does not approve himself of what they are doing.

Also, because he has the nerve to question the Dept of Defense. (DoD, what a lie. We should go back to calling it the War Dept since virtually nothing they do is actually in defense of us)

RON PAUL ON FOREIGN POLICY

"As a Commander in chief you could certainly handle the troops around the world. I would start talking to all our allies and tell them what the plans were and start coming home. We are now spending close to a trillion dollars maintaining our foreign policy. It's a lot bigger than most people realize if you add up the Dod, the supplementals, the interest on the money we spend and taking care of our veterans."

"We have turned our own country into isolationists, diplomatically we don't talk to anybody, we have more enemies than we've ever had before and fewer allies, and at the same time our ability to defend this country is being diminished on a daily basis. We worry about borders, all around he world, we worry about borders in Korea, about borders around Iraq, and what do we do with our own borders? Here we don't do anything."
Worse than Obama?

I like this, except for the last line. It's because we don't need to do anything. Our country is next to impossible to invade and it is next to impossible to protect against terrorism without actually compromising freedom. Unless he's talking about the war on drugs and immigration...

Paul finished 2nd in a very close vote in Iowa.
Looks like people are taking him seriously this time.

So, the lady that can't win beat the guy that can't win. Nice.

You have to have some pro wrestling knowledge to understand this one.

Most people I know that support Ron Paul are.... enthusiastic. They state his full name with great frequency and emphasis. It reminds me of Jim Ross calling a Steve Austin match. 'Stone Cold! Stone Cold!' As a result, at every mention of Paul, I hear his good ole JR screaming his name instead of Austin's ring moniker.

It's exactly the format where you'd expect Ron Paul and Michelle Bachmann to excel.

That's a pretty good analogy.

Paul was going great until he started making excuses for Iran.

Maybe after November 2012, he'll just retire and occasionally do fill-in work for Alex Jones.

Jon Stewart | Ron Paul | Michele Bachmann | Mediaite

The word is getting out more and more about Ron Paul and it's funny, the things that he was speaking and b*tching about 10 years when everyone was calling him a crazy man some of the Reps. are speaking about it now, funny how that works it seems.

Yeah the Iran thing kind of threw me off myself, but I guess I can see his point to some degree, but still that's the last thing we need over there is a mad mad with nukes.

Paul told the truth about Iran, we went in 1953 and overthrew their ELECTED government to install some one more friendly to our needs, it bit us back in 1979 when they took hostages and the whole Iran/Contra thing went down.
If we would mind our business and not try to police the world, worry about things here at home we would be A LOT better off. What is wrong with truth? Americans are not used to hearing it from our politicians is all.

I thought Paul did a great job describing the Iran situation.

That is all they can come up with. The media has been ignoring the man since 07. Please show us where the man lied, show us how his voting record is a contradiction of what he actually says. Truth is, big government are scared to death of this guy, that's why they ignore him and try to make people believe he's crazy.
He is the only one who has been mostly right all along, when you look at the actual issues.

Yeah he's crazy, for wanting to be president at this time in our nations history.
