Based solely on the stat lines below who would get your vote for ROY?

Curious to see people's opinions.

AVG. R HR RBI SB

.249 81 18 69 25 - #1

.287 80 17 68 9 - #2

I'm on the fence on which one I would choose.

who is #1? Heyward has been solid, plus the 40 point BA difference really stands out with comperable run production numbers

If I had to chose between those two, I would probably go with 2 because I think the batting average shows a significant enough gap to tilt it his way. However, I think there is a more deserving candidate out there, even though it pains me to say that because of who he plays for.

#1 defense is great.

I don't think #1 should win but the stats aren't much different save the BA. Look at the SB difference.

I just think people are hyping Heyward's season up so much like it's one of the best rookie seasons ever and I posted a rookie's stats who are very similiar yet that rookie is not even mentioned in the conversation anywhere.

You could give it to 6 or 7 seven different players, I think I would vote for Buster Posey

I agree about Posey. This is JMO but if he is up for the entire season, there really isn't even that much of a debate about it.

Heyward cause I'm a Braves homer, but this rookie class has been ridiculous and I don't think you can make a bad choice this year, unless it's Ike Davis.

Stubbs isn't considered a rookie. He lost rookie status last year.

Stubbs OPS: .741

Heyward OPS: .880

Not close.
That's a stat that you really can't appreciate unless you see Heyward play everyday. Everybody knows he can hit and has a great arm, but I'm not sure people really get how insane it is for a 21 year old to have an OBP over .400.

It was looking like Heyward would get it at the beginning of the year now it looks like Posey.
