rooting for former vols

Obviously, I'm sure everyone is pulling for Peyton today, looks good so far. However, remember Jerod Mayo is on IR for the Pats, and I realize there is a hierarchy of former Vols, and who the masses will tend to pull for, but...

Let's imagine a scenario that could have played out several years ago. An AFC Championship game played between Peyton's Colts and Al Wilson's Broncos....who would you have pulled for?

Denver going to a 3 man front is ridiculous. They have had pretty boy contained all game with a 4 man front

Prevent D is so bad

I don't pull for former Vols at all unless they are on my team...

Not to mention I can't stand the Peyton band-wagon fans.

I agree about the Peyton pumpers, however, let's assume "your team" is out of it...Peyotn or Al?
And are we talking "your team" being a fantasy FB team, or a legitimate one?

I would be talking about my Titans, yes.

For example I hated Manning his entire career with Indy because we had to play him twice a year. I wanted him the be the worst QB the league has ever seen those two games, I'm not ashamed to say that.

So you don't like someone pulling for a particular player? Only for a particular team? (I'm trying to follow your thinking.)

I'll pull for former Vols regardless of team. However, I want them to have an off day against the Redskins

Pretty much. I can't stand band-wagons, be it a specific player or team that's "hot" right now.

For me, the Vols are my favorite team above all others. And like Volly said, we must have different definitions of bandwagon

I don't see how someone who has followed a guys career for almost twenty years is a "bandwagon fan".

I don't mind people who have pulled for Manning's teams throughout his career. The only thing that bothers me is the smaller group of people who try to act like he's some sort infallible football god who has turned in nothing but top-shelf performances his whole career only to be let down by his teammates poor play. He's a great, great, great player, but there have been some times over the years he's put his teams in a bad spot by making some pretty bad mistakes.
