He owns his mistakes and has been absolute class when things haven't gone his way. The Heisman loss and getting cut by the Colts were tough but the way he handled those situations is why I pull for him.

The way he actually owns his shortcomings is what frustrates me all the more when people act like he's free of all blame for some of his poor performances. When the man himself admits to it, for fans to act like he plays perfect and just gets screwed by his teammates is perplexing.

Lol i love it when ppl call Titans fans Bandwagon because they came from Texas. More than Half Nfl teams Didnt Come from where they are now. Even the older teams. Ppl just want to to say things like that to make their sorry lifes feel a little better than someone elses sorry life lol otherwise it wouldn't even be brought up.

Titans fans are definitely not bandwagon....You don't watch the product that team has been putting on the field and still claim to be a fan if you're a bandwagoner!

Only on VN can you be called a bandwagger for pulling for PM after being a fan of his since he played for Vols. Wow, says it all.

Had no opinion about the Colts before Peyton...still pull for them unless it's Chicago or Denver as an opponent...will probably repeat the process for Denver after he retires...as for the Titans, when I was growing up they were the Oilers...not born in Houston or adjacent area so to root for them would be "bandwaggoning" for me...thank you for your time and attention :hi:

So you've never been Peyton fan. No big deal. Me, I'm a Peyton Manning fan first, since '94, no matter which team he plays for. I pulled for the Titans 14 times a year when Peyton was in Indy.... care to guess which 2 games in which I pulled for their opponent?

I was a Manning fan before there was a Tennessee Titans team. I'll be "rooting like heck" for Peyton and the Broncos to win the Super Bowl.

Same age as Peyton, went to UT same time as Peyton, grew up pulling for the Packers, and pulling for Peyton since his rookie season. Call me whatever you want...I could careless....my favorite player of all time has another chance to be a world champion and cement the greatest season ever played by a QB ever with a Super Bowl ring.

Life is good for me....don't like it DERELICK my VOLS and Peyton's too :eek:lol:

Appreciate the clarity Butch. Couldn't figure out how I might be a "Peyton Bandwagon fan" who Burhead hates. I mean, I pull for him win or lose, started pulling for him in 94 before there was a "Tennessee Titans".... I even pull for him whether he plays for the Colts or Broncos....I'd pull for him if he quarterbacked the Russian team...... now I'm just showing my age.

PS- sorry about the Cutler thing. Strange bedfellows eh? Gotta suck having to pull for a former commode whore.

I don't mind the Titans. However, I'm not going to stop rooting for a Tennessee legacy over a Tennessee embarrassment that is the Titans.

If you want to pull for Peyton, pull for Peyton. You don't need to explain yourself or get approval for your fanhood, imo. The entire idea is silly. Just enjoy the game.
