The original on the strip was the best late night bar in the land on a Saturday night. They had a late night happy hour and that fantastic sun-room (which was kinda dark and jungle-ly at night). All the hard core party folks would wind up there, eat some food, knock back some cheap drinks and then the log chains would come out and....well, it was just special.

My daughter, wife and I ate at RT on Thursday.. Daughter had bacon cheeseburger and we ate the salad. It was very good, but wait staff is terrible. They only have one waiter/bartender who knows what he is doing and we always ask to sit in his section at lunch. If he is not there, we usually leave. He usually works weekdays at lunch.
My wife and I would eat at the one in Gatlinburg while we were dating. I think there was one at the L&N station and I ate there a few times in the 80s.

All I ever eat at RT is salad or a burger. At our location salad is always fresh. We have nowhere else in the area to get a fresh salad. I would never eat at Chili’s or Applebee’s

If you do the same thing every time you go, does it really matter who the server is (to the point you just walk out instead of eating what you wanted to eat)?

The service I had was so bad and so rude on multiple occasions that I swore I would never go back. A friend wanted to go and I agreed. Server was awesome and he told me just to always ask for him.

I actually agree with volley. but then I look at who she's arguing against.

No one goes to Chili's/Applebees/Fridays/etc for a steak or a marquee meal, but for a $15 dollar one hour sit down meal that beats fast food, they're not bad at all. Honestly, Chili's Smokehouse burger is as a good a burger as I find anywhere.

Before RT lost their minds the salad bar was really good. The last time I ate their (and it was literally the last time) the food was awful.
