This is only a rumor I heard over the wekend and I'm not stirring any trouble, so don't go nuts. It's going around that the NCAA has talked to UT basketball about a 2 year preseason/post season ban from play, and loss of scholarships.....but it was also said that their may be an exception made and a new punishment handed down. I did not hear a time frame when this is to be handed down. If this is old news I apologize...I just wanted to share with ya'll before I start work.

If we do get a 2 year postseason ban, it'd be nice if they would start this year. This year has been frustrating as hell.

Nah you didn't really tell us anything in that. I think your just trying to get your post count up. Come back with some real info.

If they give them a two year post season ban then you might as well forget about Tennessee basketball for a while.

I wish people would quit speculating on what the penalties are.

Kind of hard to believe they would be talking punishment when we still don't have the letter of allegations. We won't know punishment for a long long time!

We will see, but I don't think the NCAA is going around talking about penalties until the Letter is received.

Wait. It is probably a 2 year ban on pre and post season play, plus loss of scholarships--but exceptions could be made? You just left room for anything to happen.

You can surely start a better rumor than this one.

My cousin's best friend who was married to Mike Hamilton's cleaning lady said CBP is getting the electric chair and CTJ got 3 consecutive life sentences. But we don't lose scholarships and can host the NIT in Knoxville.... just a rumor, don't hold me to it.

Word that I got is that this info came from someone that sits on the bench. I dont care about my post count boss. I was told this info early this morning. TIFWIW. I just pass on interesting information that I hear and think others would be interested in knowing.

Oh and let me point out.... I am not trying to start a rumor. It is a rumor that is already floating around...I just heard it this morning! (I clearly stated this in opening sentence!) I hope the 2 year ban and loss of scolarships is wrong...I really do. I'm not an insider. A good friend and coworker of mine sat with and talked with some UT boosters and alumni at the Georgia game Saturday. They claimed this information came from someone on the bench. This information was expressed to him, who passed it on to me. Sorry to step on some people's poor little toes or get you all riled up. I was just passing along information for discussion. That's all folks!

We did not pay players hundreds of thousands of dollars over several years- NOT HAPPENING.
