Gas statons, country diners, and porn stores........

(In all seriousness, at least 8-10 years ago the restaurant there wasn't bad at all if you like southern food and grease.)

A two-year postseason ban because the coach lied about a bbq would be the most unfair thing the NCAA has ever done. He's already serving a one-year suspension from off-campus recruiting.

Oh and let me point out.... I am not trying to start a rumor. It is a rumor that is already floating around...I just heard it this morning! (I clearly stated this in opening sentence!) I hope the 2 year ban and loss of scolarships is wrong...I really do. I'm not an insider. A good friend and coworker of mine sat with and talked with some UT boosters and alumni at the Georgia game Saturday. They claimed this information came from someone on the bench. This information was expressed to him, who passed it on to me. Sorry to step on some people's poor little toes or get you all riled up. I was just passing along information for discussion. That's all folks!

Chill out friend. If you are going to start a thread here then not everyone is going to shower you with praise and thankfulness.

A lot of debate goes on amidst the great VolNation and you have to be ready for the good and the bad.

GBO ! :loco:

Like I've said before, the NCAA should/will hand down a suspension that is specific to Pearl. I don't think the university will suffer that much, especially something like a 2-year post-season ban. That's harsh.

Very true...lol...it just urks me how some people on here cast stones at everything. I try to be careful about what I post. But, if I find things I hear from other UT fans to be interesting, I like to share it with everyone. Calm and cool advice appreciated. Thanks!:good!:

Thus might be true had the lie not been to AA investigators.

Please don't share what you hear. It's called hearsay.

Just trying to get this straight...The AA sends the letter of allegations to the university...The athletic department then has a certain amount of days to respond to the allegations...The AA and the UT administration then sits down to discuss any appeals or whatnot...Then the AA hands down the punishment...Is that about how it goes ??...It could be a good while before any punishment talk would be known, right ??

Most everything on hear is hearsay. That's one of the things I enjoy reading and discussing on volnation. As a fan, I enjoy knowing what other people are hearing about our sports programs. I find it enjoyable to discuss anything related to UT athletics. Thanks for your opinion though.

That's a good idea of how it works. No penalties will be known or stated in whatever we get this week (assuming it is this week).

We all love a good rumor now and then. Gets the juices flowing and fights started. Doesn't have to be true or anything like that. Have fun good man!!!!!!!!!

I have a friend who is an intern with the NCAA. He said they had bbq catered in today and that never happens. Smirks and innuendos abound. The rumor is that the letter went out and penalties are severe. The bbq lunch signifying the day that UT's program hit rock bottom after a horrific bbq scandal and sending a couple of hotties to see recruits play ball.

pretty sure this is a joke but those guys are idiots if they think this is rock bottom for UT basketball. But then again they are working for the NCAA....

they should just hire Dickey if that's their intention

In Major League Baseball you can do just about anything and get a slap on the wrist, but if you bet on baseball, you're done. I think the NCAA is the same way about lying to them. I wouldn't be surprised if they have let it leak to UT that penalties will be harsh, but can be reconsidered if Pearl is no longer our coach. I don't think the NCAA is so much after UT as they are after Pearl and Kiffin (as regarding any football violations).
