Disclaimer: this is a RUMOR that I heard today. Just wondering if anybody else has heard it or can confirm it.

A good friend of mine, who happens to be a Gator fan, said he talked with a guy that he knows that is a big time Bull Gator (high level donor) that knows the Meyer family pretty well. He said the Bull Gator told him that Meyer had two minor heart attacks this year...one after the TN game and one after the SEC/BAMA game.

My buddy said it is doubtful that he will return this year, but hopefully next year and that the reason he told the recruits he would be back this year was to keep the class intact (I know the Volnation already knows this part, just funny to hear a Gator admit it).

I know there were some rumors flying around about a mild heart attack when he said he was quitting, but they were mostly dispelled.

Yeah, he should never come back then. Kiffin will only become a bigger thorn and Saban is going to absolutely own Urby.

Yeah from the looks of it Kiffin is a huge thorn, right!?!? And Urban is 1-1 against Saban so I call that even.

well my uncles brothers sisters aunts brother in law told me he'd take the summer off then be back..

Hey...the above sounds like something a Douchetard Gator fan would say (not that I would call anyone a name)... I am passing along something that I heard earlier today...one person removed from the guy that said it...one of your fellow Gator fans volunteered the info. He's got no reason to lie to me about it.

Go cry over Timmy and pray that Urbie can find some Tums for his tummy.

if he truley had 2 heart attacks, and comes back next year

just imagine the nightmare if he collapses on the sideline of a game

Kiffin's first year with sub-par talent >>>> Urban with multiple years to build even though Zook left the place fully stocked.

No way Urban can even get 7 wins if he had Tennessee's team this year but Kiffin could win the 12 at Florida

Can't argue with cold hard reality like that.

The sourcing sounds goofy alright, but I have heard something similar . . . that he actually had a heart attack during the season and is very iffy about coming back at all.

You guys were fine with having the jackass loudmouth when he was your guy. Now that your coach is a sanctimonious, womanly whiner, your fans are too.

That's winner, not whiner, and yes Gator fans are vicarious winners also.

I'd have hated Spurrier, if I was a rival as well.

If his health is a concern like he made it seems like it was, than it's surprising that hard working, crying players would convince him to risk his health to return.

Doesn't a Leave of Absence usually indicate the POSSIBILITY that the individual may not come back ?

It's also POSSIBLE that the LOA recharges him, allows him to gain perspective, and leads to improved health. And it's also POSSIBLE that he picks up where he left off and continues to lead a successful Gator football program.

Just like it's POSSIBLE that the vol program will continue to improve.
