Rumor Saban to take Southern Cal coaching job

There are a good number of former SoCal residents in the Franklin/Brentwood area these days. I'm sure a lot of native Floridians would be glad to send some of those Yankees your way.

I can't recall which automobile company relocated to Nashville, but I know a lot of the personnel from SoCal relocated with the company.

Those California transplants petitioned Trader Joe's to open down there, it worked!

*snow birds only get as far as Arizona, SoCal is too expensive....and the water is cold, with this thing called waves!

When I first moved here, everyone was an SC fan. Now they are hard to find. So Cal is very much a bandwagon area for sports

You also lived in middle Tennessee. How many Bama fans are there? Wasn't it called northern Alabama at one point?

I know. My sister in law is an SC Alum, but they suddenly no longer want to watch or go to the games. SEC fandom is hard to match

That may just be your SIL, I'm familiar with the Trojan Clubs and Alumni organizations in OC, and they are a large group. Orange County has long been known as a Trojan enclave.

I'm so glad our 4 & 5* players don't consider who does or doesn't fill a stadium before making their college choice, by choosing to become Trojans for Life. That's what I care about, what their game day experience is.

Our former players remain loyal, support USC all their days. In fact, USC is the only university in the country that it's former players established it's own powerful Alumni Support Club (TFAC), since 1956. They have their own family within the Trojan Family. They support the university, award scholarships - The John Wayne Family scholarship to a deserving former player that wishes to pursue an advanced degree.

About USC Trojan Football Alumni Club (TFAC)

other sec coaches should put in a million each as an inducement to get saban to take the usc job!

Nope, while I agree w/ the end result you want, I sure hate to admit I've given up hope of doing it by beating Saban on the field.

I've been to southern cal twice. I enjoyed it both times. I couldn't live there though.

I'm a country boy. I like the farm and the woods. Northern Cal I could probably do though.

My dad lives in Laguna Nigel. It's beautiful. I loved San Diego. And my little brother is a freshman at UCLA.

The great thing about visiting there was all the attention I got from the ladies once I started to speak. They loved my Tennessee accent.

Y'all can carry on now.

I live in a beach town, but it's surrounded by farm land...Future Farmers of America was the big club in my HS. So, I know all about country living...and neighbors with chickens and a rooster...but it's great having the big city, and my beloved USC, only 70 miles away.
