Ok, above you said UT, now you're saying something different, which is it?

Rob said just a day or two before that UT had reached out to Hale within the last week.

Did Hale pound your girl, you sure get fired up about him.

It's my opinion that I'm choosing to believe Dooley, why does that bother you do much?

I said I think Tennessee 'reached out to Hale' on Sunday to see what was up. I don't know who did the reaching or who they talked to; maybe an AAU coach, high school coach, father, maybe a former Science Hill player with Tennessee ties. I at no point said that 'I know Tennessee spoke with Shannon Hale.'

That was the best I could do on Sunday, my sincere apologies for that shortcoming.


Today, I am saying specifically and with a great deal of confidence that I don't believe Cuonzo Martin has had a conversation with Shannon Hale.

Additionally, Shannon's father's on-the-record comments don't seem to leave a lot of room for doubt.

Go back, he said something about he believe UT reached out to Hale within the last week.

Whether it was a staff member or not, he's saying someone reached out to Hale to talk. Do you think they were discussing stocks, I'm pretty positive if someone with UT ties talked to him it was about the team.

What about the source you were trying to contact when you fell for the Hubbs commitment troll?

I just think we can do much, much better than Hale in this class.

You're the one with 5,000 posts on the subject and started a thread saying he committed to UT lol. I'm sitting back and laughing at how fired up you are.

FTR, it seems like Dooley's reports are not completely falsified at this point. He said that Shannon's dad and/or Cuonzo told him to not announce anything until he's officially decommitted from Bama.

So if Shannon's Twitter is blowing up with questions, he's obviously going to say that he's still with Bama. If he doesn't respond at all, that makes it more conspicuous.

At this point, I don't think anyone can either confirm or write off Dooley's claims. Dooley never posted much before this, so I don't see what he stands to gain from spreading made up rumors. JMO.

Yes in the hubbs situation I know a few people that would've likely known. With Hale I'm in the dark, is that hard for you to comprehend?

I'm sorry, I was fired up about a top 100, 4* PF who happens to be a local kid committing. Stupid me, rooting for the university of tennessee.

And this is my take as well, adding in that those who are quick to point to Lewis are leaving out just the other day Lewis said someone with UT ties reached out to Hale.

It very well could be all false, I'm an optimistic person and choose to hope its true, if others don't like it then F ya.

What does anyone stand to gain from spreading made up rumors on the Internet? All the regular clues are there on this one. Such is recruiting I suppose.

That's what I'm saying. Like I've said before, it wasn't like he was saying he knew Hubbs or Nichols personally or someone else that Martin has been after. Hale was completely random and I just have a hard time believing Dooley made this up.

I believe all the denial and deflection is likely all part of a cover-up to allow Hale a chance to contact Grant and make him aware of his decision. There just seems to be too much smoke. Is it possible that it all stems from diesel's posts here? I guess. Unlikely, but possible. I'll wait to see if he does something publicly before November. If not, he signs in the early period with Bama.

If its true...probably giving sometime for smoke to clear. Going to talk to grant and let him know, and then let that smoke clear. Soon after will committ publicly to Tennessee.

This kids 17, theres a good chance he made his decision and was exited to tell Dooley. No offense D, but Shannon probably Didn't think you'd spill the beans. Within 15 minutes of your post VQ, scout, radio, twitter etc etc had all picked this up and we're probably blowing up him his family and grant.

Deny everything, and in time come out publicly.

If it is true, I 100% believe this is what's going on. And yes, Dooley should not have posted the info here, but we really appreciate it :)

If I was committed to one school and thinking about committing to another, and I told a "good friend" about it. I'd be pissed if they went to and started talking about our conversations on a message board.
