I got a chance to see Clarke with his band SMV in 2008 in California. SMV was a bass super group with Clarke, Marcus Miller and Victor Wooten. I have played the guitar for over 20 years and consider myself pretty good. I have guitar lessons for a few years. But seeing those guys play bass made me feel like I should never touch a stringed instrument again. Just simply amazing.

He is absolutely no different than any other entertainer or politician in that regard.

Most politicians, especially most skilled politicians, could make an argument for the other side as effectively as they argue for their own side. With a few exceptions, I haven't the slightest idea if politicians genuinely believe the words that come out of their mouths. If Nancy Pelosi, for example, was representing Kansas instead of San Francisco, she could be a crazy-eyed Michelle Bachmann-type conservative. There's no doubt in my mind.
