I agree she is all finesse. Nothing imposing about her, other than her height. I don't see her becoming a Terminator in the paint. A good player, but not Griner like.

Which is really odd because she is plenty big enough to be intimidating. She isn't a bean pole like Izzy and Moore. She has a strong base and is wider than she looks. She just plays small.

She needs to be taught to use her tools better and to be more physical. And maybe she will once she eases back into playing a bit more. Certainly the posts in the SEC will punch her in the face and make her scrap if she wants to compete.

If Dean would somehow make her mean, at least give her an attitude of the paint belongs to me, then she could be a major force...But whenever I see her interviewed she talks so meek, pretty much the way she plays. Not tough at all.

When Parker talked, she let you know she was the best....She played much bigger then she was. The good old days.

She really needs to embody that Tennessee post are mean they are imposing you have to have a beast mentality about yourself granted a little finesse is okay but honey you play in the sec.. Is she in the ranks of Michelle Snow Tye Fluker Gwen Jackson heck even Nicky Anosike or Pashen Thompson atleast with Pashen and Nicky we knew that they were gonna bang and get the boards, fight and do the dirty work even when we had Kelley Cain she used that big body of hers... I'm not trying to bash Mercedes at all it's just when Tenn lands #1 recruits they come in and show us why they were #1 they lived up to the billing.. We need to cut down nets like now lol

ya'll must have forgotten that at least in NCAA women'sbball, they have changed how they let players play now. You can't hardly breathe on somebody without a foul being called, unless you play for Ky, Baylor or UL. :(

Not in the paint. You can't hand check on the perimeter, but inside you can body check your girl into the cheap seats. It is a rugby scrum under the basket.

Izzy was assaulted on a regular basis. If what happened to her had occurred on the street instead of a basketball court there would be a lot of girls in jail for aggravated battery.

Japan consistently beating USA guards on the dribble and to open jump shots.

Russell had 13 points and 7 rebounds in the first half.

The guards aren't even patient enough to throw it to Mercedes or McCall and it's clear that's where our advantage is.
