U.S. Commandos Running Out of ISIS Targets

Yeah, that article isn't biased or anything. "How wonderful Obama's campaign against ISIS was! Don't you see it was working?"

The main difference in the two Administrations is Trump gives far more tacit permission to field commanders to conduct raids and missions and doesn't run everything out of the White House. Even states so in the article.

Look, I know you want to blame Trump for everything you possibly can, but you simply cannot defend running the smallest details of a war from the White House. It has to be in the hands of the tactical commanders for the most part. Otherwise, you end up with Vietnam.

Sometimes I wish Putin was our president. But like not now because Trump is kinda boss but like after. He would be awesome

Yep we need a President like Putin who is willing to kill his own people and thousands of others all so that he can get re-elected.

Top US official: ISIS is shrinking but "end stage" is some way off

McGurk, who was appointed to the special envoy position by former President Barack Obama, credits President Donald Trump for accelerating the pace of the effort by delegating more tactical decision-making authority to military commanders on the ground in Iraq and Syria.

"That has allowed us to really take advantage of some opportunities that we saw developing, particularly on the ground in Syria," he said, specifically citing an offensive in May to retake the town of Tabqa, and surrounding areas, which McGurk says helped "tighten the noose around Raqqa."

In northern Syria, the US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces released around 200 IS members in Raqqa province at the request of tribal leaders in the region.

The government said it released 672 prisoners who had promised to accept the state's authority, a move it said was aimed at bolstering a "reconciliation" process.

The Syrians shot down an Israeli drone and the IDF responded.
