Brings up the great map debate again...according to Mercator mapping Russia is a much smaller nation..

But then agin according to this the US is 2800 miles across and this map would not seem to be anywhere close to 1/9th the circmference of the Earth.

This is how Putin (and other authoritarian figures) operate. He's old KGB and a master of psyc ops and cyber attacks. He's turned information into a brain washing weapon, and his opperatives are all over the web at every level. His goal is to use the "republican" base to install a pro russian government in the white house. He has made certain parties very, very rich to obtain this goal and now owns them. He is very good at what he does.

Trump argued that Germany was making a serious error with regards to Nord Stream..Fact
NATO made a decades ago commitment to 2% of GDP military spending...Fact
Germany's and Biden's commitment to Nord Stream weakens Germany and it s NATO commitment..Fact

Nothing absolutely nothing Trump did weakened NATO..Fact
Nothing absolutely nothing Trump did emboldened or benefited Russia...Fact.

I don't know how some of you put your own pants on in the morning, much less vote, but there is a reason idiots rule.

"Putin was born in Leningrad (now Saint Petersburg) and studied law at Leningrad State University, graduating in 1975. Putin worked as a KGB foreign intelligence officer for 16 years, rising to the rank of lieutenant colonel, before resigning in 1991 to begin a political career in Saint Petersburg."

He was a nobody in the KGB. He did run the FSB though, it’s successor organization, in the late 90s.

Oh come on. I wasn’t around but it doesn’t seem anywhere near as divided as the late 60s- mid 70s.
You have some people in this country that would have people the do not take a vaccination to not have the ability to work or be part of society at all.

COVID-19: Democratic Voters Support Harsh Measures Against Unvaccinated

In another poll over half seem to think the media are the enemy of the people.

58% Of Voters Agree: Media Are ‘Enemy of the People’

This country hasn't been this divided in awhile.

You got half the right ready to put a russian opperative in the white house, and half the left wanting to adopt russian style socialism. And both are screaming the other is wrong. Think about that for a second.

There is a reason I am so careful about my online presence. I do not trust technology. I am more friendly with the people on this site than I am anywhere else. All my social accounts were deleted years ago. Even the security companies you use are using technology against you. All of the major companies like Google/Twitter/facebook are going through massive reinventions of themselves rn. Twitter is all but dead at this point. Google is being stripped of much of it's power. You guys really need to get smarter about social platforms. You have no idea what's going on behind the scenes if you are not keeping up.

If you actually dig into the results of those polls (especially the Covid one) you'll see there's actually broad agreement from the public about measures to take against the unvaccinated (i.e., most oppose them). I don't think a majority of the population distrusting the media is a sign of division, actually.

In 1968 you had the preeminent civil rights leader of the time assassinated, the frontrunner for the Democratic Party Presidential nomination assassinated, and a protest movement that makes something like BLM or the George Floyd protests pale in comparison. Simultaneously. Just feels like the country was way closer to the brink then than now. I think we are more divided today than say, the 1990s, but not the 60s or 70s.
