Ryan Day very cocky/confident overlooking Tennessee and already talking about Oregon

Ryan Day looks like a former member of The Village People…who NOW “performs” nightly Thursday thru Sunday at The Ramada Inn Lounge-Airport Location

Haha the joke is he's a dirty gay! Not like you! You're very not gay. When you have sex with men it's just bros looking out for each other. Haha! Good one!

He did not answer questions properly early in that press conference but gave us more credit later on. Vols just need to stay focused and they can win this game. Play clean football and win the lines of scrimmage.

Post it on the board. We’re already in his head.

This is going to be glorious.

I spent a week compiling a list of the most punchable faces of college football coaches. Drinwitz was #1, Day was #3. Butch was #2. I'm not sure why it took me a week. I had spreadsheets and everything.

We had an on depth discussion about this in the PF also. Pretty sure it was just the SEC coaches though. If I ever bumped into Drink out in public....i promise you i will take his fronts. On sight. Just for that bitxhmove he pulled with the "stand on business" AFTER he knew he was too far away for CJH to hear him. What a coward.

I watched about 10 minutes of this (not dedicating 30, sorry). I didn't hear cockiness...And he directly says they aren't looking over us (video link below) and they have to win the first game to get to the rest. Not understanding where the "overlooking" comment came from. Perhaps someone can link a different part of the video where he's being cocky?

What I hear is “I can’t beat UM and my job is in peril so if I lose to UT, I’ll join Urban in the booth”.

I promise you that the people on this board would donate enough money that you would be able to cover your bail, your legal fees, and a nice vacation afterwards.

I didn't watch anymore that the first 2 minutes. First thing that went through my mind was "typical yankee looking down at the boys from the south."

Then this song (bad azz song too.) popped into my mind.

I am wondering how OSU players react. Are they bought in knowing if they lose it is Day’s last game? Or are they listening to the bad press and not focused? They don’t have a great OL, but have really good skill players. If I am game planning against us, it would be a host of slants and screens. Get the ball out quick against our D. Our DL will be fresh and I expect them to create havoc.

Our problem will be a road night game. Can we get up early and quiet the crowd? I worry about a bunch of penalties slowing us down.

People hear what they want to hear and many want to always feel that Tennessee is slighted. They live for it. Still, Day is a punk.

Both teams will come out motivated, it is going to come down to who is better and coaching, not motivation.

I thought he was fairly respectful tbh and he was definitely referring to Oregon when he said "when we look down the road we played some of those guys already" not Tennessee.

Is there any actual validity to a loss means Ryan Day is fired? I would find it hard to believe that a team would fire their HC who just put them in the playoff. It is really hard to fire a coach with 10 or more wins yearly. I would love to hear what actual insiders feel about the dude. I am guessing he is not exactly well liked with all of those losses to MI. Although he has only lost 8 games in 6 years. I would think they would be hard pressed to find much more stability.
