Ryan Day very cocky/confident overlooking Tennessee and already talking about Oregon

Is there any actual validity to a loss means Ryan Day is fired? I would find it hard to believe that a team would fire their HC who just put them in the playoff. It is really hard to fire a coach with 10 or more wins yearly. I would love to hear what actual insiders feel about the dude. I am guessing he is not exactly well liked with all of those loses to MI. Although he has only lost 8 games in 6 years. I would think they would be hard pressed to find much more stability.
😂 I hope they have this opinion as well. Ohio State has far and away more talent than any other school they play every time they line up on the field. It’s not like the SEC either where the talent levels are close. They played two games this year with teams that have even comparable talent and they lost both games. One of the most talented teams in the country without a doubt that underachieves every year.

I thought he was fairly respectful tbh and he was definitely referring to Oregon when he said "when we look down the road we played some of those guys already" not Tennessee.
I did not listen to the interview and just read the notes. Based on that he does seem a little cocky. I think we are a little more used to the other coaches being more complementary of the upcoming opponent. Well outside of Kiff , and he is still mostly complimentary.

I agree with you, I didn't hear him say anything negative about Tn. He was just trying to get his team ready to play. Win the first game, and if they do that they have played some of the rest in their bracket. I fail to see anything he said that was downing Tn.
We need bulletin board material. Chill. 😉

Cute. Pronouns?
Oh, I get it! I must be one of those dirty gays too because pronouns aren't actually a part of English grammar, it's all part of an evil liberal conspiracy to make you crave gay sex!

Good one! hahahaha

You should definitely do stand up.

He said he has players that have already played us and that they know they can handle us (paraphrased)

Additionally says it’ll be great to get this one win to catapult them going forward for the rest of the playoffs
He pretty much has to say that because he knows this is do or die. When/if they lose to UT his time in Columbus ends. There is no point in him doing coach speak. It's down to rah rah pray to jah now. Nothing to be mad about. he sees the writing on the wall and is reading it out.

I am wondering how OSU players react. Are they bought in knowing if they lose it is Day’s last game? Or are they listening to the bad press and not focused? They don’t have a great OL, but have really good skill players. If I am game planning against us, it would be a host of slants and screens. Get the ball out quick against our D. Our DL will be fresh and I expect them to create havoc.

Our problem will be a road night game. Can we get up early and quiet the crowd? I worry about a bunch of penalties slowing us down.
All good points especially on the slants and screens. I don’t think their O line can deal with our D line straight up.

I hope the whole OSU staff, team, and fanbase thinks they are playing a bunch of Hillbillies that are soft and unprepared. This will be a hard fought, smashmouth football game and the 1st team to 21 points likely wins.

CJH has had our team extremely ready to play for bowlgames since he has been here...our last 2 were blowouts over Clemson and Iowa...neither scored a single TD against lesser UT defenses. I believe we will be ready to punch them in the mouth.

GO VOLS. BELIEVE 2024

I'm not getting into personal attacks on Ryan Day but I expect the Vols to attack them with ferocity and come away with a W.

Ohio State fans are making the dumbest excuses if we do win with no credit to UT lol. They’re already saying they hope they lose so Day can be gone, they don’t think he cares, if he did care then they would get a victory in the 1st round, etc. We need to punch them in the mouth early and not let up. I wanna be up at halftime 35-0 and kick another onside kick to start the 2nd half.

I agree. However, I did not think Georgia’s OL could either. IMO our defensive game plan against Georgia was too conservative. Their OL was considered one of their weaker position groups, yet, we failed to capitalize on that weakness.

Play smart but be the aggressor and apply relentless pressure. Don’t leave anything in the tank!

IMO, Ryan Day should be confident..............we're not Michigan..........the team he fears the most.

I might be just wishful thinking, but I
I like games like this when we aren't really expected to win. I don't know if it's necessarily because there is less pressure or what, but these are the games we often show up in and surprise everybody.

The pressure in this Game is definitely on Ryan Day and Ohio State.

Ryan Day looks like a former member of The Village People…who NOW “performs” nightly Thursday thru Sunday at The Ramada Inn Lounge-Airport Location

Is he wearing blush?
