Agree he was a good guy. I saw him watching the TAM band parade on the way to the stadium in College Station, last time we played there. Obvious the love he had for his son. Still, he couldn't have stayed if he wanted to.Stallings was a defense oriented guy, but boosters were tired of winning games 7-3, 10-7, etc. (also losing to UF) and as you say made life miserable for him. The truthful part of leaving to spend time with his family was that Stallings had a son with Down syndrome and he probably did have limited time with his son. He wrote “Another Season” about his son. Good guy IMHO.
