Saban or Spurrier or Meyer?

I beg of you... No Lol.

No Lol and I think Spurrier is the best of the three. Look at Duke and Florida. Those were big turn-arounds. Look at USCjr and the teams they have beaten. I realize USCjr may just be the final destinations for coaches past their prime but Spurrier has made them respectable.

Lou Holtz made them respectable. Spurrier made them arrogant.

As far as effectiveness at the college level (where recruiting is 9/10ths of the law), obviously Saban and Meyer are ahead.

However, I just wonder if the OBC isn't still a better Xs and Os guy. I might be showing my age here, but I just think if anyone can find a way to exploit a weakness in a defense it's SOS.

If the OBC recruited as much as he golfed, USCe might be a contenda'.....
Sort of in the same boat. There's room for improvement, but his tenure so far at USCjr. has shown to me that he is at least a decent coach and more than a product of the system he brought to Florida in the 90's. They get a string of three or four top notch recruiting classes, then you've got a team in the discussion for the SEC title.

Ultimately, though, it's South Carolina and that won't happen.
