Saban Speaks About Staying At Bama

Noone can outbid Jerry. Even if he doesn't have the cash, the man can talk a good game to get it.

He convinced the city of Arlington to raise taxes to help fund his new stadium there.

No one had every spent 4 million on a college coach before we did on Saban. No one had spent 5 mill when we did. Our coffers are full, and Saban is the reason. We could double his salary and no one would think twice, because we're rolling in it.

Who is we?

Its arrogant punks like you that make Alabama the most hated college football team in America. How about you win with class.....oops nevermind I forgot I am talking to a Bama fan. Absolutely NO class.

Most of the "fans" I've met aren't too bad, but this guy comes off like we should bow down to him on our own site.

"I think most people know I'm here for the long haul," Saban said. "I'm not looking for another challenge. I've done that too much.

"When I was at LSU, I was ready to settle in except for one thing: Would I ever go to the NFL? Well, I did that and learned about myself and feel fortunate that I got back to a good place where you had a chance to win, and that was here. So regardless of what anybody else says, I'm not looking for another challenge.

"I'm not satisfied with my performance, but I am satisfied with myself being here."

Saban has it on auto pilot and he's King. It would be a big gamble in the NFL for him again. The only way is that Saban isn't satisfied and wants another chance to redeem himself in the professional game. If he's still interested in the NFL, you can't think he'd ever say anything different than what he's stated. Only time will tell, but I think he's done with the NFL. I will also say that I believe if he'd stayed the Dolphins would have been a much better team in a year or two. He's demanding and an a-hole but he gets results because he demands it.

If it's only about money, no one is going to outspend Alabama. We'd throw 10 million at him if that's what it took.

We know. We remember Albert Means...But in all seriousness, no college team can win a bidding war with an NFL team. Ever. Especially if said team is the Dallas Cowboys. That dude paid 40 million for a scoreboard. And that's dollars, not pesos.

I've said this before, possibly even in this thread, but you don't get to be Nick Saban in the first place if you're happy being on autopilot.

Bama fans are absolutely delusional if they think there's no chance of Saban ever leaving for the NFL.

Guy's it's simple, bama is on the top of the college football world right now. It's only a matter of time before they get caught with some major violations, never fails for Alabama. There is a reason they were labeled the dirtiest program in the history of the NCAA. Don't fool yourself bammers, the death penalty was on the table last time, it will be again.

I think it's appropriate at this point to say, to h3ll with the Alabama crimson tide. Parole tide.

Its not Jerry Jones that you have to worry about, its the Longhorns. They will make a hard run at him and make you guys pay 10Mil to keep him. Word is too that his wife can't stand T-Town...

Who in their right mind can?

My son lived there for a year in a co-op, said after 6 months he had a strange urge to buy a trailer...

As much as I loved those tornados?

You've made this same joke before.

We get it: people dying is incredibly funny as long as they were probably fans of your rival. Parents losing children, children losing parents, wives losing husbands, etc are all totally hilarious.

I can't see why Saban would leave under the current circumstances. It's going to take AU and UTK, possibly Arky as well, hiring some A list coaching talent who can make it harder to Bama to rack up in recruiting to break Saban's stranglehold on the conference. Right now, Saban only has to worry about beating LSU each season.
