Saban to Cleveland?

Saban to Browns, Gruden to Alabama. How awful would that be?

I had a feeling this would be here. It's a valid point, and one worth considering. However, you just have to believe that given the egos of these guys, Gruden would not want to immediately follow in the wake of Saban. Whatever success Gruden would have there would be credited, in large part, to Saban. I just don't see Gruden to Alabama happening. I'm not necessarily saying I see Gruden to Tennessee happening either, but I think that scenario is much more likely than Gruden to Alabama (if indeed Saban leaves).

It's nice to have a coach that every NFL team and high profile college program wants, but who loves Bama so much that he turns every one of them down.

If the constant message board rumors are right about the former, thrn the latter must be true as well.

That's adorable. You think he is staying there because he loves Alabama.

He's not going anywhere. Why go to NFL for $1 million more. He probably has better perks at Bama.

Saban comes across as a perfectionist and a control freak.

He will not have anywhere near the control of an NFL team that he currently has. Even if the Owner is hands off he'll have to contend with the GM for Free Agency bidding and Draft ordering anyway.

Unless he is guaranteed mutual control of team affairs like what Shannahan was given when he was hired by the Redskins I can't see Saban jumping ship... and that's only if he is genuinely interested in redeeming the one major * that will be there on his otherwise impressive career.

If UT/Auburn/Arky all bring in top quality coaches this year and with aTm looking good that's 4 games he'll have to play each year. Also, with UF/USC looking better the SECCG won't be a gimme either.

Especially if he caps this year with his 3rd in 4 years getting out while you're ahead could look good. If he's tied into his ego I can see him wanting to keep his college record at the pristine level it's at and maybe try a 2nd go in the Pros. Given Pete Caroll's success and his age (61 by next season) time is dwindling for that shot. It's pretty much now or never.

NOTE: I'm not saying he leaves... just adding some speculation to the pretty smokeless "fire".

Prime example of how much power Satan has.

There have been a couple of players suspended by the SEC for illegal hits. The reason for suspension was they felt the player was trying to cause harm to the other player.

In the Missouri game LaMichael Fanning suplexed (spelling) a Missouri player. It was so bad that the refs through a flag for a 15 yard penalty.

Satan tells the SEC he will handle it internally and makes the player write a letter to the coach and player of Missouri. SEC drops it and does not suspend the player.

There is no doubt he gets special treatment.

Here is a video of the slam.

Well that's great, but does Haslam have enough money to buy about 6-7 other NFL teams to lure the 6-7 other SEC coaches better than ours?

Nobody outside of those born there loves Bama more than cash.

I've heard multiple people, yes Bama people say Mrs. Saban hates Tuscaloosa. And who wouldn't?

How else do you explain him turning down the Cowboys, Jaguars, Titans, Georgia, LSU (again), USC, West Virginia, Penn State and Texas? The internet has told me that every one wanted to hire him, so he must be pretty happy at Bama.

Saban would flop in the NFL, no way he goes back.

Saban would be successful with a successful NFL franchise like the Steelers IMO. Put Saban at Michigan St and he looks average, put Saban at Bama and he's a world beater for example.

There's your problem.
