My mother told me Sampson was out for the uga game like an hour beforehand. Upon review, she was referencing the Facebook post of a random person on Facebook, dated 5 weeks ago, that just said “oh no not Sampson”.My wife just sent me a text message that said that LSU has fired Brian Kelly and hired Saban to replace him. Has anyone seen anything about this or is this some kind of wish from an LSU fan?
It wasn't me, my wife sent me this in a text message. I couldn't open the link she sent and couldn't find anything immediately about it. After I explored a bit more, I found the article that she sent me. It was a click bait article.
At my age I don't believe most of what I hear and very little of what I actually see.
Don't shoot me, I was just asking if anyone else had seen or heard this.
I don't think Kelly is a fraud, he has been too consistent and won too much to be a fraud like Jones. Kelly just has a ceiling.LSU ought to fire Kelly and hire Kiffin before Florida does. It’s just a matter of time before Brian Kelly and LSU go separate ways.
Totally fitting Butch Jones followed in Kelly’s footsteps at two different jobs—they’re both frauds of the highest order.
Why? LSU won national titles with Les Miles and O, who are absolutely not as good of coaches as BK. They should be much better than what they are. BK's run at ND was much more impressive than what he's shown at LSU so far. Even last year was disappointing to a degree - he had a Heisman-winning QB who is tearing it up in the NFL as a rookie, yet somehow still lost 3 games.I am assuming this is sarcasm.
his better seasons at ND were because he was at ND, playing weak teams. Whenever he played an SEC team with a pulse, he lost. and by a pretty fair margin. Why? He still doesn't have the defense figured out, which is inexplicable because they have talent all over the field.
He beat LSU twice in bowl games while at ND. He also had multiple wins over some really good Stanford teams, beat a good Oklahoma team, beat a good Michigan team, beat Clemson in 2020.his better seasons at ND were because he was at ND, playing weak teams. LSU does have pedigree but I think things like the transfer portal have leveled some of that out.
Brian Kelly doesn't bring anything special with him. Orgeron had an innovative offense, and great defense because of coordinators. Kelly's guys aren't held in the same esteem as Orgerons even before the title win. Even with Daniels I don't think they were at the same level as 2019. Kelly is kinda just the old school CEO type, like Fulmer, with more emotions. He is good enough to be consistent, but not good enough to really expect titles.
To be fair, they had DJ U at QB that night and then got blown out in the ACC Title game Clemson w/ Trevor Lawrence. And then both teams got blown out in the CFP .He beat LSU twice in bowl games while at ND.
