All this hopeful stuff about Saban and Alabama going away, kinda makes a person wonder what fulmer and his trusty tape recorder are doing these days.

You should google the phrase "suspension of disbelief."

In short, it is the concept in fiction writing that in order to keep the reader engaged, you do not need to include enough details to make everything believable, but it is important that you NOT include details that make your writing unbelievable.

Your avatar has a better shot at it. That ought to "nip it in the bud."

No man you don't get it.

The cashier at the Weigel's in Knoxville where my wife's brother's wife's brother's mistress usually buys gas told me the real deal.

Alabama sent Dooley to La Tech to groom him to take Saban's place. When Hamilton hired him for the Tennessee job, your guys were pi$$ed off big time that we took your coach.

What you didn't know is the Dooley knew all of this all along and he only took the UT job so that he could run the program into the ground and remove some of his future competition for at least a few years.

So, after successfully getting rid of Hamilton, Dave Hart (through various bribes and called in favors to Cheek) is implanted as AD so that he can fire Dooley when the time was right to make sure he was available in the event of a Saban departure. By him being fired, Alabama would not have to pay the contract termination fee to UT.

The last piece of the puzzle is coming together now.

If you believe Nick Saban will coach at Texas in 2013; please go directly to your bath tub, fill with water, completely submerge head into water, maintain this position until you aren't stupid anymore.

Bump.

We have this discussion every year. Plenty of "sources" being thrown around.

We now know he was much closer to taking that Texas job in 2013 than was reported at the time.

I don't think it's particularly likely at this point he'd ever leave Alabama (for any job, not just Texas) but I still think there's a chance it could happen.

If he was going to leave though, I think he would have done it after the first or second title at Bama. Leaving now doesn't make as much sense.

I think Chip Kelly will wind up coaching Texas in 2017 while Tom Herman goes a relatively short distance away to coach Texas A&M.
