Must explain why they have such cheap rent and a housing surplus. No one wants to live there.
Explained here at the 7:00 Mark: City makes it difficult to build new homes.
San Francisco is a Sh*thole - YouTube
If it were such a sh**ty place no one would want to live there. That's obviously not the case. And by the way, SF pays out way more in federal taxes than they take in (or at least CA does, so I gotta believe SF residents are responsible for a lot of that).

SFO is a great city. Lots to do there. Wine country a hop skip and jump away. Awesome climate. Great outdoor environment. The city has wonderful restaurants and cultural things to do. But I do not know any city in these United States where you literally have to step over more homeless people on the sidewalks than SFO. I actually saw one once hang up his cell phone and ask for money.
No one is forced to live there. It is what the market will bear. Couple that with the taxes and socialist politics, and I don't even want to buy lunch there to support that crap.I could have had a 60% increase in my salary and still only been able to afford a 500,000 trailer..Homes smaller than mine here in Florida sell for 1.5 million in the Bay area..ridiculous.
