SAN FRANCISCO: Shoplifting SKYROCKETS , Criminals Aren't Being Arrested Anymore, Stores CLOSING

'Looting' deemed racist term, California experiencing 'organized robbery'

What happened in California this weekend when over $1 million in luxury goods were stolen was not "looting," authorities said.

Calling it "looting" might be racist, they said.

Instead, what happened was "organized robbery," according to a spokesperson for the San Diego Police Department.

San Diego officials are not alone in this sentiment.

"As the Bay Area grapples with a wave of seemingly organized smash and grab robberies this weekend, policing and journalism analysts are cautioning against the use of the term looting," a report said.

'Looting' deemed racist term, California experiencing 'organized robbery'
I agree that what California is experiencing is "organized robbery" and not looting (as defined in the California penal code). However, this leap to state that the term "looting" is racist just reveals the underlying racism in the person making this ridiculous characterization. There is nothing racist about the term "looting". We have a bunch of lunatic leftists trying to completely distort the entire English language.

Maybe we should call it boudining instead of looting.

This place has an odd fixation with San Francisco.
We have an odd fixation with society crumbling because elected liberal officials refuse to enforce enacted laws and prosecute and punish the criminals that break them. San Francisco is one of the worst offenders, although virtually all cities with liberal administrations are now crime ridden cesspools.

It’s a ****hole run into the ground by idiotic Democrats. Like the rest of California.
I disagree that all of California is a $hithole... but that's beside the point. Do you live there? Do you frequently visit San Francisco? If not, then why does it bother you so much? There are 3 threads devoted to it on the first two pages. That does seem odd for a Tennessee-based fan forum.

I didn't start the thread, but I've been to California many times. My parents used to live in both southern California and in the East Bay area for a number of years. These days, the whole state is a $hithole, but San Francisco is the worst. The reason that there are threads about San Francisco on here is that this is a political forum, and San Francisco is one of the prime examples of what happens when you have a liberal administration and liberal policies run amok.

Opinions will vary, according to personal tastes, but Laguna Beach, Huntington Beach, Newport Beach, Thousand Oaks and Malibu are far from being $hitholes... in my opinion.

The fixation with San Francisco is overkill.

My parents have lived in that area, and I've been there a lot. It's not like San Francisco, but that whole state is now a $hithole. I wish they would do something to improve it because I'm tired of these liberal morons fleeing California to move to Arizona.

Like the Trump-Russia obsession by the Fascists?
Trump's ties to Russia oversaturated the news cycle during his first two years in office. However, Trump brought some of that on himself, with his deferential approach to Putin/Russia. See the Helsinki press conference from July of 2018, as one example.

Best Buy shares Tumble 16% after the chain cited Losses from organized Theft - Particularly in San Francisco: CEO warns workers will quit and says 'this is a real issue that hurts and scares real people'

  • Best Buy saw a 16 percent drop in shares as Robberies plague California
Best Buy's shares tumbled on Tuesday after the company posted a drop in profit for the fiscal quarter, citing organized theft - especially in the crime-plagued San Francisco Bay Area - for a dip in revenue.

Shares were down more than 16 percent, or $22.17 per share, to reach as low as $115. 63 Tuesday morning before a small rebound. The stock drop came as Best Buy had been enjoying a profitable November.

'We are definitely seeing more and more particularly organized retail crime and incidents of shrink in our locations,' Best Buy CEO Corie Barry told analysts during a conference call. 'This is a real issue that hurts and scares real people.'

She ultimately warned that retail employees could start quitting their jobs as they face threats from the armed gangs terrorizing stores in California, where lax laws on shoplifting have emboldened the brazen bandits.

Nice. What a surprise.
