'Not charging crime': Two San Francisco prosecutors leave DA Chesa Boudin to join recall effort

Two San Francisco prosecutors quit their jobs in the district attorney’s office of Chesa Boudin, joining the effort to recall him.

Prosecutors Brooke Jenkins and Don Du Bain quit their jobs over Boudin's lack of commitment to prosecuting crimes. The two join at least 50 lawyers from Boudin’s office who have quit or were fired since Boudin took over in January 2020, roughly a third of the department’s attorneys, according to Fox News.

"Chesa has a radical approach that involves not charging crime in the first place and simply releasing individuals with no rehabilitation and putting them in positions where they are simply more likely to re-offend," Jenkins said in an interview. "Being an African American and Latino woman, I would wholeheartedly agree that the criminal justice system needs a lot of work, but when you are a district attorney, your job is to have balance."

"The office was headed in such the wrong direction that the best thing I could do was to join the effort to recall Chesa Boudin as district attorney," Du Bain told the interviewer.

And the craziest part of it all is that they will more than likely continue to vote Democrat.

No. That's actually incorrect. When you are a district attorney, your job is to prosecute charges against individuals that broke the law.

Woke DA Chesa Boudin FINALLY charges San Francisco's most prolific shoplifter - but only after voters forced him into recall election: Woman, 41, stole $40K from same Target store in 120 incidents in 12 months

San Francisco’s ‘woke’ District Attorney Chesa Boudin has finally charged a ‘prolific’ female shoplifter, 41, who stole $40,000 in merchandise from the same Target in 120 incidents over a one-year period.

Aziza Graves was arrested Tuesday for her alleged shoplifting spree about two weeks after voters forced Boudin into a recall election, with a petition yielding 83,000 signatures - far above the 51,000 required by the city.

The push to hold Graves responsible only came after Target demanded that Boudin launch an investigation, which revealed that the store, at the Stonestown Galleria shopping mall, was hit by the same person more than 100 times between October 2020 and November 2021.

It is unclear how much Graves stole in each incident, though she is only being charged with a felony in eight cases, along with 120 misdemeanor counts of petty theft. This is because, in San Francisco, charges of property theft less than $950 in value was downgraded from a felony to a misdemeanor in 2014.

Store staff and security do not pursue or stop thieves who have taken anything worth less than $1,000, though Graves’s charges show that she looted more than $1,000 in merchandise on eight occasions and still slipped away until her arrest.

Graves is being held in jail, without bail set in her case, and her next court appearance is Thursday, according to court records.

What is going on in San Francisco and really around California and other big cities is like 3rd world $hitholes. These criminals have been more emboldened by cries to defund the police and neutralize their authority. Leftist policy is to blame for all of it.

Why San Frsncisco doesn't have cops nearby these high end retail shops ready to use lethal force is due to democrat incompetence.

These idiots no doubt made the mistake of exceeding San Francisco's stated maximum amount of allowable theft per incident. Stay below that threshold level per incident, and San Francisco won't prosecute...and yet they wonder why they have such a huge theft problem.

Newsflash: Louis Vuitton crap is EXPENSIVE!

Gang of EIGHTY crowbar-wielding looters in ski masks ransack California Nordstrom and fill 25 cars with designer goods in raid lasting less than one minute

  • Approximately 80 thieves wearing ski masks stormed the Nordstrom store in Walnut Creek, California around 9pm Saturday night
Eighty looters ransacked a Nordstrom store in California's Bay Area on Saturday night, injuring at least three employees in a raid that lasted less than a minute.

The large group, wearing ski masks and carrying crowbars, rushed the Walnut Creek store, stole an undetermined amount of merchandise and fled in their vehicles.

During the theft, two Nordstrom workers were punched and kicked, while another was sprayed with pepper spray. All three individuals were treated for their injuries on scene.

The brazen robbery comes as Bay Area businesses reduce their hours due to a spate of brazen shoplifting incidents. Locals are also slamming woke San Francisco District Attorney Chesa Boudin over his failure to prosecute thefts.
