Teresa Haley was complaining to branch presidents of the Illinois NAACP about support that Chicago authorities were offering to the 26,000 migrants who have arrived in the city since August last year.

Haley who heads the NAACP state conference also used the N-word and sneered at transgender people during the video call which was recorded by former Du Bois County branch president Patrick Watson.

'These immigrants who come over here, they've been raping people, they've been breaking into homes, they're like savages as well,' she said.

Haley suggested 'AI' may have been used to doctor her words when reached on holiday in Dubai by WLS-Ch7, adding: 'With AI anything is possible.'

Haley is a rising star in the organization and won its activist of the year award in 2021.

She told the meeting that migrants were benefitting at the expense of black people.

Watson said she also complained about being asked to use transgender pronouns she described as ‘they, them, it'.

Chicago's Democrat leaders have been accused of hiding from voters in a city buckling under a migrant crisis after they blocked a vote on ditching its sanctuary city status.

Mayor Brandon Johnson ordered his lieutenants to quash a bid to put the controversial 'Welcoming City Ordinance' to a referendum on Chicago's March primary ballot.

It came after the mayor's floor leader was forced to resign for physically blocking opponents trying to access a previous vote on the issue last month.

The city expects to spend $300 Million this year on coping with more than 24,000 migrants who have arrived in the city after crossing the Mexican border since August last year.

It spent nearly $1 million on a tent camp in Brighton Park before tests revealed the soil was too poisonous to live on, and more than 3,000 migrants are still waiting for shelter as arctic winter temperatures start to bite.

More than 560 cities, states and counties across the US have declared themselves sanctuaries, and Chicago adopted the status in 1985.

Several migrants confessed to The Post Friday the meals served up at New York City asylum seeker shelters are so “bad” they often just trash them — with some opting to sneakily cook in their rooms instead.

Their claims of terrible food came a day after it was revealed DocGo — the company awarded a $432 Million no-bid contract by the city to help with migrant services — has been tossing thousands of uneaten, taxpayer-funded meals prepared for asylum seekers each day.

Meals from DocGo include pancakes and Quecas, a type of fried tortilla, for breakfast; sandwiches for lunch and dinners including chicken alfredo and chicken with spaghetti.

The staggering number of meals being wasted was down, in part, to asylum seekers ditching the city-funded food in favor of buying their own.

Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson’s deputy chief of staff, Cristina Pacione-Zayas, told The Chicago Tribune that bus companies are now no longer communicating about where they are dropping migrants in an effort to avoid city penalties.

In an effort to show the seriousness of the border crisis, some Republican governors have sent buses of asylum seekers to Democrat-controlled states and sanctuary cities. These Republicans argue the action is necessary to show the rest of the country what border states are dealing with due to the surge of migrants.

In response, the city of Chicago filed over 50 lawsuits in an attempt to hold bus companies accountable for shuttling illegal immigrants to an already overburdened city amid winter conditions.


However, bus companies appear to have responded by continuing to transport migrants, but no longer communicating or using established dropoff spots.

Texas emergency management officials chartered a private plane and flew 91 migrants to Chicago Tuesday evening, the first time a private plane has been used by the state to bring migrants to the city from Texas.

After the plane landed without warning to Chicago officials, airport officials called the Chicago Police Department, according to a report shared with WTTW News. The flight originated in El Paso, Texas, and records link the plane’s tail number to the Texas Division of Emergency Management, according to the police log of the incident.

The migrants are now staying at O’Hare, officials said. In all, nearly 300 people are currently living at O’Hare.

Texas Begins Flying Migrants To Sanctuary Cities With First Flight To Chicago​

The state of Texas has started flying migrants to sanctuary cities, with the first flight arriving in Chicago on Tuesday evening, Fox News has learned, marking an escalation of Gov. Greg Abbott’s previous strategy of bussing migrants to ease the pressure on the border state.

Fox was told that the first flight left El Paso on Tuesday afternoon with 120 migrants on board and arrived at Chicago’s O’Hare Airport later in the day. Sources in Abbott’s office told Fox that all migrants signed voluntary waivers, as they do when bussed.

The decision was partially in response to Chicago’s interference of the buses traveling to the sanctuary city. The city has launched lawsuits against companies transporting the migrants.
