Maine Residents in uproar over $13 Million 'Taj Mahal' Migrant Housing Complex where Asylum Seekers can Stay RENT FREE in Luxury Apartments For Two Years

Residents of a Maine town have hit out at the $13 million construction of a complex of 60 apartments for asylum seekers, where they can live rent free for two years then pay a fraction of the rental price.

Locals in Brunswick have expressed fury over the project, which is being funded by a mix of private and public money and which has been heavily criticized by Donald Trump Jr.

The apartment complex in Brunswick is one of the many projects being launched by the town in what critics have labeled a 'Taj Mahal', red-carpet welcome for asylum seekers.

There are currently 180 apartments in the Brunswick Landing complex available for anyone to rent. A one bedroom unit costs $1,800 a month, while a two-bedroom costs $2,300 a month.

The new buildings for asylum seekers will allow residents to live rent-free for up to two years while they obtain work permits.

Then, if they obtain a job that pays half of the average local salary of $60,000, they will only have to pay a third of the rental price. It boils down to a monthly cost of around $500 for a one bedroom, and $690 for a two bedroom.

Migrant Teen Accused in Times Square Attack On Cops is Arrested Again for Macy’s Robbery

One of the migrants allegedly involved in a mob assault on a pair of cops in Times Square has been arrested again — this time for participating in a coordinated robbery of a Macy’s store in Queens.

Darwin Andres Gomez-Izquiel, 19, was arrested Tuesday night and charged with robbery and petit larceny, police announced.

He is one of four people charged for allegedly entering the Queens Center Mall around 5:33 p.m. Tuesday and “acting in concert” to steal clothes that they tried to hide in bags.

If your first interaction with law enforcement was breaking the law and they go ahead and walk in and we'll also provide you with a travel ticket, does it really get much better from there with respecting laws?

NYC Migrant, 22, Who Brazenly Flipped Off bystanders outside court when he was Arrested for attack on Times Square police officers is EXONERATED after he was misidentified

The Manhattan DA has dropped all charges against one of the migrants arrested in connection to the Times Square melee that saw two cops brutalized in late January.

The asylum seeker in question, 22-year-old Jhoan Boada, famously gave photographers the middle finger while being perp-walked from his arraignment days later.

Boada insisted on his innocence - an assertion DA Alvin Bragg now agrees with following a sprawling investigation.

Denver Officials Beg Landlords to House Migrants as Shelters Overflow

1709850262268.png

Officials in Denver, Colorado, are begging local landlords to take in illegal migrants as the sanctuary city’s shelters are being overwhelmed with all the “newcomers.”

Mayor Mike Johnston’s (D) office announced that four of the city’s seven migrant hotel shelters will be shut down by early April in a February 28 announcement, saying that people staying in those facilities would be “relocated.”

At the time, the city did not specify where exactly those unhoused migrants would be moving.

Now Denver Human Services is asking private property owners to deal with the overflow.

”We put out a feeler to all the landlords we have connections with,” department representative Jon Ewing told Fox 31. “Basically said, listen, we’re going to have some newcomers who are going to need housing.”

“We’ve got kind of a rent cap — $2,000,” Ewing added.

The Human Services employee also said the city has, so far, been able to grant work permits to 1,300 illegal migrants.

Johnston, who has already been granted aid for 35,000 illegal migrants, added that Denver citizens will have to "plan for shared sacrifice” as the city makes “budget reductions” to help migrants “that we know will continue to arrive.”

Illegal Migrant With 65 ARRESTS is On The Loose Again after assaulting NYC Nurses: 'These laws need to stop!'

A New York nurse who was battered by a patient has slammed the city's 'soft on crime' policies after learning that the suspect is an illegal migrant who has 65 arrests to his name.

Edward Johnson, 57, was granted supervised release two days after assaulting nurse Chelsea Mora, 32, in a series of attacks on female medical staff dating back to 2019.

She was left with bleeding in her eye and PTSD after he launched himself at her in January while she was taking his blood pressure at Jacobi Hospital in the Bronx.

And a colleague at nearby St Barnabas Hospital has been attacked twice by the thug who has now absconded from his supervisors.

'It was pretty disheartening to find out that he was illegally here in this country and that he's been given so many chances,' Mora told Fox.

Almost No NYC Migrants Are Accepting Free Plane, Bus Tickets after shelter evictions, data show

Less than 2% of adult migrants per day are accepting free plane or bus tickets to leave the Big Apple once they are booted from the city’s overflowing shelter system, newly released data show.

Of the roughly 1,600 asylum seekers who flock to the city’s East Village intake center each day, an average of just 30 have been willing to relocate to another city or state, according to data obtained by Gothamist from the city’s emergency management agency.

As a result, hundreds of adult migrants have for months been flooding the intake center — located at the former St. Brigid School on East 7th Street.

Once there, the migrants can either reapply for taxpayer-funded temporary housing, which could see them sent to hotels upstate — or take up the offer of a free one-way bus or plane ticket.

Migrant Crisis Costs NYC Taxpayers $10 MILLION EVERY DAY: Eric Adams boasts the city is Shelling Out $387 To House And Feed Each Immigrant after his cost-cutting efforts

  • Each migrant household costs NYC $387 every day - this is $10M Per Day total
New York City is spending on average $387 each day on every migrant household in taxpayer-funded shelters despite efforts from Eric Adams to slash expenditure.

The $387 is the 'cumulative per diem' - which is the average amount spent on a migrant household, including providing them shelter and food, every day since the crisis began in Spring 2022.

This forecasts over $10.12 million per day being spent on migrants in the city.

Joe Biden Hands Out $100 Million to NYC In Aid for His Massive Illegal Immigrant Crisis

March 15, 2024

President Joe Biden is handing out tens of millions of dollars to New York City as it struggles to grapple with the ongoing immigration crisis, despite rolling out the red carpet for illegals at the start of Biden’s term.

New York City is set to finally receive more than $100 Million in migrant aid that has sat for months untouched due to the funding being held up with paperwork.

In addition to the millions of dollars the city has received from the Biden Administration to help combat the surge in illegal aliens arriving in the Big Apple, $106 million in aid, which is the rest of a $150 million package earmarked for the Big Apple by Congress last year, was made available this week after the Federal Emergency Management Agency officially signed off on City Hall’s reimbursement applications.

Tennessee House Passes Bill Requiring Law Enforcement to Notify Federal Agencies of Illegal Alien Arrests

1710710264073.png

After a short debate, a bill requiring law enforcement to follow standard procedure and notify relevant federal law enforcement entities of illegal alien arrests has passed the Tennessee House.

HB 2124requires, rather than authorizes, law enforcement agencies to communicate with the appropriate federal official regarding the immigration status of any individual, including reporting knowledge that a particular alien is not lawfully present in the United States or otherwise cooperate with the appropriate federal official in the identification, apprehension, detention, or removal of aliens not lawfully present in the United States.”

“This bill would clarify that all law enforcement including police and sheriff’s departments would be required to fully cooperate and communicate with the Department of Homeland Security [DHS],” he said last week, adding that arrestees “just have to prove who [they] are” in order to avoid being reported to DHS.

Democrats in the state have opposed the bill, and some liberal-run cities, including Nashville, currently have sanctuary policies that protect illegal aliens from federal law enforcement if they are arrested for other crimes.

Tuesday, the Tennessee Senate version of the bill, SB 2576, was recommended for passage.

Surge of migrant kids at NYC school could push special needs school out of shared building

A space crunch at a Manhattan school building sparked by a massive influx of migrant kids is likely to force a city special needs school out of its home — and into an inadequate 127-year-old site.

West Prep Academy, a 170-student school on the West Side serving primarily children with disabilities and special needs, is being overrun by a surge in enrollment at PS 145, which shares the same 105th Street schoolhouse — driven largely by the recent wave of migrant kids flooding the school system.

“We’re at a point where now parents are not feeling heard,” one academy parent told The Post. “I see all of these parents expressing these real concerns for why this is not going to work for their kids.

The cards are preloaded with a week's worth of funds and will be rolled out to 115 families, equivalent to 450 people by the end of the week.

Mayor Eric Adams is pressing ahead with the $53 million scheme, despite a furious backlash amid fears the cards are open to abuse.

Fury as Boston plans to fill former Veteran Housing With Migrants as city asks residents to take people in

Massachusetts residents are outraged at recently announced plans to turn a former Boston area veteran housing unit into a homeless shelter as the city is inundated with migrants.

Democrat Governor Maura Healey revealed the government will turn the former Chelsea Soldiers' Home facility, which is vacant and scheduled for demolition, into a safety-net site in April.

It will be able to accommodate 100 families who are eligible for the state's Emergency Assistance family shelter system, which has been operating at capacity for months.

Residents of the Bay State, however, are furious that the former veteran housing facility is being turned into migrant shelter when on a single night in 2023 there were 545 veterans experiencing homelessness in Massachusetts, according to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.
