Sanders on Finebaum

Also, dream scenario:

We play Ohio State (could be someone else), beat them, we already beat them for Sanders, and then Caleb Downs decides he’s tired of that weather and we throw him all the monies
That's what would make this defense next level elite -if that's possible. I love Will Brooks but a ball hawk safety like Downs in this defense would be filthy. Imagine the days when our safety had 7 pics in a season. I hope we have one in the fold. They could feast here

With practically every university in the country tried to get him, I seriously doubt this young man is a bust. He needs to put on some good weight to be able to compete with the bigger college athletes, but if he can do that without losing his speed and agility, I only see good things moving forward. This is as big a get as any we have ever gotten. Future looks great with this class.

WELCOME ABOARD MR. SANDERS!!!!

I think that Heard and Sanders are the starting tackles next season.

This one had me really concerned. It would have been tough losing the centerpiece to the recruiting class at the last minute. I'm assuming he attended the OSU debacle in Columbus on Saturday. Do you think he saw first-hand that he might be making a mistake and things aren't quite as rosy as he thought up there? If OSU had blown out UM, would he have had a great time and possibly be a Buckeye today? I'm thinking UM might have helped us in a big way last Saturday.

Yea, this might be one of the best overall linemen class (both offensive and defensive) that we've ever had. And, everybody in the SEC wanted the three linebackers we signed.........

Fortunately every recruit doesn't play it that way...yet.
Just a matter of time and that’s the game we’ve signed up for. Show me the money. It’s how Tyler Baron committed to transfer to Ole Miss and Louisville before settling on Miami.
Held his “options” open.

Saw an article just this morning where Brian Kelly said LSU lost several recruits at the last minute due to getting outbid on NIL money. He told the LSU fanbase that they need to up the ante.

I get what you’re saying, but Brooks has two more picks this year than Downs does.

Doubtful. He’s got Perry and Warren ahead of him, and offensive tackle is the most developmental position in football. He’s really lean which can be a good thing as long as he’s given plenty of time to add weight the right way. I think he redshirts and then takes over at left tackle in 26; presumably Heard will declare for the draft after next year.
