Sanders on Finebaum

Like him or not, PF is # 1 in the Country and a VFL. I could do without all the crazies that call in.......
I think that's what many people don't get about Finebaum - he's not the one talking smack on the air. He sits back and let's the crazies do all the talking. Every now and then he'll interject a comment (or an affirmation) to keep them going, although most of his caller's don't need additional stimulation or prompting. I don't know how he wound up in Birmingham originally, but somehow he hit the "mother lode" of the crazies world with all of the Bammer and Barn imbeciles. He figured out pretty quickly that if he let the nutjobs run the asylum, he would get more and more nutjobs to join the party once they figured out they could spew their vitriol (somewhat) anonymously over a radio call-in show. (Sounds amazingly like a bunch of keyboard warriors anonymously firing away at each other on a fan website. Woohoo, go VolNation!) And believe me there are plenty of nutjobs in the state of Alabama when it comes to Alabama and Auburn athletics. And then some brilliant thinker at ESPN (isn't that an oxymoron) had an idea to take his show nationwide on TV on the SECN, further expanding the pool of nutjobs. I don't watch it much, but when I do, I'm amazed how he can keep a straight face when some of his regulars go on their daily tirades.

It’s funny how half the callers on PF’s show say “first time caller, waiting for hours, days to get on” and yet the same crazy callers who are the nut jobs get to the front of the line every day. This should tell the general audience that PF’s show is half sports related and the other half Jerry Springer,
