Santi Mixes It Up with Clown Vandy Fan

I wonder what the fan could have possibly said to set off a pretty chill and easy going guy like Vescovi? Geez. Honestly, after this and then the Burton stuff in Neyland, starting to think we might see harsher penalties get imposed on universities if they let fans rush the court. We’re bound to end up with someone getting actually hurt eventually.

Didn't take Uros long to step in!!

1. Fans should not be on the floor or field after a victory! That goes for even us after the victory over the Gumps down south
2. Put yourself in Santi's shoes. No one knows what was said to him and if you think you would be beyond doing what he did, well, you are more of a man/woman than I am. I am not excusing what he did, but I am sure he was blaming himself for what had just happened (missed free throw). Go back to no.1. Fans have no business being on the floor.

I am just as upset about the loss as anyone. Easy to sit back behind these keyboards and begin pointing fingers, passing judgement, and dishing out the punishment. I feel we have a coach that will handle the situation properly. As I have said earlier, not excusing him, but at least it shows he has some fire and passion for his team and hates to lose. All of these on court/field will be elimnated by KEEPING THE FANS IN THE SEATS AND OFF THE PLAYING SURFACE.

Probably SV would be the first to say he should not have bumped the guy. In the video however it’s kinda hard to detect the fans intent. I try to be fair and balanced BUT this doesn’t even approach the situation with the Bama kid. CLEARLY…there’s a huge difference.

The only "huge difference" is that this time it was a member of the good guys who hit a fan, I get it, blind loyalty, but c'mon. SV bum rushed the guy. If Burton was wrong and deserved to be strung up by his testicles as punishment then so does SV. Geesh.

I just value a young small girl as maybe a bit more delicate than a massive footballer BUT it’s America and you have a right to be wrong😂.

what are we doing guys... this team is in its own head. Barnes needs to jump start this team

Maybe they go on a team outing/camping trip or something

they need it
They need rest. Sadly this is a rough time to think that way. Team works super hard on the most thankless aspect of the game...defense. They don't look like they're enjoying things right now. One would think maybe Barnes would shake things up as you suggested but he's an older guy, set in his ways and impossible to change. We've seen this before. Yeah.... definition of insanity, but it's our reality. Likely why Texas wanted him gone. They lived it, too. Kinda makes me nervous about how UCF fans still seem happy that Heupel is gone. What do they know from experience that we're destined to discover as the years go by?

I don't condone what Vescovi did, but he used force against a man, not against a woman. The force he used was against a strong man advancing rapidly and brazenly toward the team, not a much weaker person trying to get out of his way. The force he used was a shove, not a punch. What Burton did was fundamentally different from and much worse than what Vescovi did. I'd say the same thing if the jerseys were reversed. Had Vescovi done what Burton did, I'd want him dismissed immediately, regardless of how many losses might follow.

In that 2nd clip Santi was ready to go after someone else initially, glad nothing escalated…if you’re that upset about the loss don’t take the L, but now that you have let if fuel you and the team.
Should have applied that anger to his defense on that last play and not let Vandy have a wide open 3............

I will be consistent in saying had the guy not been somewhere he shouldn't have been then Vescovi couldn't have hit him. Just like the girl that Burton hit. Stay off the fields and the courts.

Wasn't Plavsic also mixed up in some sort of altercation as well?
