Santorum

Why do people feel sorry for/defend the Indians? They didn't control immigration, got over run by an advanced society and lost the wars.

SMDH

"why do people feel sorry for others who were raped, murdered and destroyed?"

I can't think of one reason why. I am incapable of empathy. I am a selfish prick, and its very easy to be ignorant.

facepalm*

hog, despite your screen name, I would hope you have a bigger pea brain than an actual pig/hog. LouderVol was wrong about what Santorum said. Santorum clearly said "there was nothing here." and " 'We' .... "built a nation from nothing."

that's what I was responding to, LouderVol getting Santorum's quote WRONG

We didn't build a nation from nothing, he is incorrect about that. We built a nation from our colonial roots, the infrastructure (so to speak) was laid. We didn't build a nation off the influence of Indians.

Be thankful for those "selfish pricks".

Thats WRONG

He said "there was nothing here"
"We birthed a nation from nothing. I mean, there was nothing here. I mean, yes we have Native Americans but candidly there isn't much Native American culture in American culture"

He said that. But when he got to the culture aspect he was talking about our culture.

And as I pointed out early on the population density of the tribes was between Alaska and Wyoming. I havent been to either, so I cant speak from experience, but I think that qualifies as a big ole nothing.

"We"... didn't 'build' a nation at all. I was born in 1987 for God's sakes. The United States was already built. SMDH. What about you?

So you were wrong about what Santorum said, and he was wrong about what he said. Cool thanks

LOL so now we're down to who he was referring to with "we"?

I guess "We the people" doesn't apply to you since you were born in 1987?

Everyone has a history of being raped, and murdered. And has a history of doing it themselves. History is just a recording of those who were better at it than those who came before them.

Except he wasnt wrong, and nor was I. You just tried to blend the two separate statements he made into one to fit your argument.

And you have multiple times avoided responses of mine pointing out these facts.

Oh... okay... thanks for that high level insight

No. I did not blend separate statements, I simply corrected yours. You said that Santorum wasn't saying Native Americans had no culture, when clearly he DID

This is ridiculous. Santorum says "'we' built a nation from nothing and there are no aspects of Native American culture in this nation.

I said, why am I/you part of 'we' and Natives aren't? And you stated that they are part of the 'we'.

So Santorum is wrong........

(Either they are part of our culture or they aren't!!!)

That's not what he said.
