Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer sharply criticized fellow Democrat Rep. Maxine Waters of California on Monday for calling on opponents of President Donald Trump to protest his policies by harassing members of his administration.

He described Waters' approach as "not American."

"I strongly disagree with those who advocate harassing folks if they don't agree with you," the New York senator said during a floor speech. "If you disagree with a politician, organize your fellow citizens to action and vote them out of office. But no one should call for the harassment of political opponents. That's not right. That's not American."

I agree with what Chuck said but, I feel like he just said it because he knows Trump and the GOP are going to use it against them in November.

It has more to do with middle age being the part of the life cycle where people are most concerned with their own personal accumulation of material wealth. Young adults and the elderly typically have a much broader view of life.

Broader vote of life? It's usually the times in life that the average person needs someone else to help them. It's the times in life that you are most likely to need someone else's stuff. That's no coincidence.

True, when you need a little help, you have a different perspective. When you need no help and are totally self sufficient, it's easy to become selfishly myopic.

You really should expand your vocabulary, Mr Relative. It's a close minded bigot that calls opposition selfish as a blanket statement just for political disagreements. Some people may hold their conservative fiscal views for reasons other than your attributions. Stop making yourself look so poorly.
