Luther seems to think it's okay to throw morality and civility out the window if you hate someone. My joke about poisoning Hillary aside(and yes, it was a joke), do you think hate should be a valid excuse for murder, too? If Trump were to be assassinated, would that be okay too, because, you know, hate?

Surely you can come up with a better argument? Or am I once again overestimating you?

Honestly, I think you're just looking for something to be outraged about. I completely understand all Muslims are not evil terrorists. It's an argument I have made myself, many times. But most terrorists are Muslim. It's a sad truth, but a truth no less. So focusing on Muslims is not bigotry, it's narrowing your already large suspect pool.

Now if the proposal had been banning all Muslims from coming here, ever, that I would perceive as bigotry. But that's not what you presented.

Ughh... It is bigotry, if you are just targeting a group of people for their religious beliefs alone (as Trump suggested). And it is not narrowing anything by very much if you are looking for a few suspects among 1.6 billion people.

Again, he didn't qualify his statement with Muslims from the Middle East or Muslims from countries who have sponsored terrorism... he simply said Muslims. That's bigotry.

Only they're not being targeted or persecuted for their religious beliefs. Honestly, I do not know how to put it into words that make you understand they are not being persecuted. Did Trump say Muslims will never be allowed in this country? That would be persecution. According to you, that's not what he said.

He called it a "Muslim ban" himself. He didn't qualify this proposed ban with any other identifiable traits or characteristics aside from religious faith (in Islam). That's bigotry: plain and simple... You are just arguing for the hell of it.
