Sarah Palin joining Fox News as commentator

I watch Fox News, but I wish they'd put someone from the left on with her. It doesn't help the credibility of a news organization to put someone on like Palin (unchallenged).

My understanding is that she is just going to go on current shows and just give her opinion and views on current events. She won't have her own show.

That's right, she's going to be a contributor. She'll be on The O'Reilly Factor tonight.

Foxnews has the highest rated shows on cable news, more than CNN and MSNBC combined. CBS, NBC, and ABC aren't even close with one show. Yet Foxnews is the one always harping about the MSM?

Does it not seem to anybody else that Foxnews IS the MSM?

Nightly News? Most watch cable news or get it off the internet or some other source.

Here's the numbers for cable news. More people clearly watch Fox.

Every time I see her I want to slap McCain and ask him what he was thinking. I voted for McCain in the GOP primary and choosing this idiot deep-sixed him big time in the general election.

I agree she was a bad choice for McCain. She had a lot of defenders on this board at the time though.

I'm confused. The nightly news numbers dwarf all the others, don't they?

I'm not sure, maybe. It's hard to believe ABC has more viewers than fox. I'm just saying as far as cable news is concerned, Fox thrashes MSNBC and CNN.

Broadcast news is undergoing a slow death. Cable and internet is fast becoming the primary source of news for people, of which Fox is doing very well.

All of Fox's harping about the MSM hollow, especially while they are pimping their numbers to show how good they are.

It's almost as original as an Obama bashing thread.

Get over it, this is a politics forum.

She is a private citizen right now, Hussein is the president. I still can't figure out why she scares you liberals so much.

I want to say that the Nightly News viewers on the broadcast channels are somewhere in this range:

NBC ~9.3 million
ABC ~8.7 million
CBS ~6.5 million

EDIT: I fact checked myself. Here's the source: Nightly News Ratings

If anyone was a bad choice it was McCain, that RINO would have got beat worse then he did if he did not have her on the ticket. He was the worst choice the voters could have nominated.

While I believe Palin is more qualified than BO to be prez, its like me saying I would rather eat my own vomit than my poo.

Fine, I disagree with you on that but like I said she is a private citizen, he is president. And we know just about everyone of you on this board hate her, why keep beating it to death. She is not doing anything that can change our lives or effects anyone of us.

She's not too private for a private citizen. I doubt people would talk about her if she didn't make news so often weather it's writing a book or joining Fox.

Are you saying that anyone not in office is off limits? Does that mean nothing should be said about Bill Clinton, Gore, Edwards, Frist, Gingrich? For that matter, should nothing be said about Olbermann, O'Reilly, Beck, etc. since they're "private citizens?"

You say she scares liberals but it seems that she scares many conservatives just as much. Do you think the McCain staff is lying or does it not bother you that she can't say Joe Biden's name right for example?

No she is not off limits, but another poster said she was fair game just as Obama is. And that is not the case, nothing she does can change your life or mine. She has no affect on you or I. She cannot change or make policy like Hussein can.

Yes I think McCain's staff is lying, they don't want to take responsibility for his failed campaign and that he was a very poor nominee. Does it bother you Hussein thinks there are 57 states?

What bothers me is that you spend more time talking about his name than his insanely stupid policies sending us deeper into financial ruin.

I can spend all day talking about his anti-American foreign and domestic policies. I am not talking about his name, I am just calling him by what his parents named him.
