Sarah Palin joining Fox News as commentator

Those that call Palin and idiot probably don't have the requisite IQ required to be able to boil eggs.

BTW, the favorite model of eye glasses currently being sold in America???

Those rimless jobbies Sarah wears.

Bottom line, anything on TV news has got to beat that bleeding heart Couric.

Does her emotional voice dripping with feeling bother anybody. I can't stand to look at her, much less listen to her drivel.

No she is not off limits, but another poster said she was fair game just as Obama is. And that is not the case, nothing she does can change your life or mine. She has no affect on you or I. She cannot change or make policy like Hussein can.

Yes I think McCain's staff is lying, they don't want to take responsibility for his failed campaign and that he was a very poor nominee. Does it bother you Hussein thinks there are 57 states?

I'm not here to defend Obama. I realize he is doing a poor job but that doesn't make Palin any smarter either. I'm sure she is very intelligent in comparison to the average Joe but that doesn't mean she is smart enough to run the country. I think many of us learned that the hard way with Obama.

I personally think the McCain camp is telling the truth and that it would have remained confidential until she attacked them first in her book.

The McCain people came out before her book and began blaming her. McCain is a moron, and I think his people are looking to place the blame some where other than where it belongs, at his feet.

This is ironic in so many ways.

Gotcha. So setting fashion trend makes someone intelligent. Looks like you are voting for Paris Hilton and her purse-dog in 2012, huh?

I think Fox deserves some serious props here for bringing in someone like Palin to give their audience an alternative point of view in comparison to what Fox normally dresses up as news and pushes like heroin to its addle-minded viewership.

I mean, if it weren't for Palin's additional piercing insights that only a third grader could otherwise provide, how else would the little old ladies and drunk and angry white guys know that Obama is a Secret Agent Muslim plant who is at once a fascist and a communist? I mean, someone needs to protect the rights of the numbskulls. Who better to do that than one of their own?

yeah, sort of like MSNBC adding Ed Schultz and Lawrence O'Donnel to bring piercing and cogent counter-arguments to the establishment types like Matthews and Olbermann.

your fear of FNC is pathetic and, on some levels, hypocritical

Again, if she's so stupid what are you worried about?

I think Palin is about as deep a thinker as my dog. I just don't get why people 1) are so infatuated with her; 2) Irrationally hate her; 3) View her as a threat..

You confuse my genuine sadness and depression at a state of affiars in this country where someone like her can be taken seriously as a candidate for POTUS, with my alarm at the prospect of it happening.

I do not for one second think she can ever win. EVER. As easily distracted as we are by bright and shiny objects, I have complete faith that there is no way a majority of this country (electoral college included) would be so foolish as to actually vote for her.

Nonetheless, the fact that she gets serious promotion by a successful cable network and radio talk show people who have the ear of a disgruntled but vocal minority, is a sad commentary on the lack of education or progressive insight many cling to in this country like a rock in the middle of a raging river.

IMO, the right's startling adherence to outdated views of economy, environment, religion, war, race, etc., is exactly why this country is losing its leadership role in the world. I realize that they think the opposite -- that its progress that is the enemy of the "American way of life." But I think they confuse their lack of sophistication and willingness to embrace inevitable change in the world that keeps us laden down with dead weight of gingoistic anachrositic thinking about "the good old days."

Power is shifting in the world and within our own country. The sooner the folks used to running things based on membership in certain classes, churches, political parties, etc. come to grips with that, the sooner this country can get moving again so as to be the champion of innovation it has been until very recently.

I disagree. She is a political novelty, in sexy high heels. She would get laughed out of the room in a debate with some of the other GOP candidates of the last election.

I've apparently been giving you too much credit as to having a reasonable level of intelligence. Either you are completely biased by your left wing propaganda, or you've grown much to comfortable to rambling incoherently. Your above comment is nothing but a bunch of BS.

Well then I would adivse you either to reform your opinion of me or to read better books, articles, etc., than you currently depend on for your own political thinking.

Do not get me wrong. If we are attacked we should respond and aim to win. We should seek to open markets for our products. We should not hesitate to cal out those who threaten either economic progress or world peace and stability. We should be more assertive, generally.

But we should also be better educated, think in the longer term as to foreign policy, and be willing to trade short term economic success for long term profit and a higher standard of living (just like any household budget).

I think its more depressing that an anti-American muslim can actually get elected in America.

But jtrain says he's a stand up guy? :zeitung_lesen:

FOX NEWS Makes More Money Than CNN, MSNBC, And NBC-ABC-And-CBS News Combined.

Mr. Ailes, the son of a foreman at the Packard Electric plant in Warren, Ohio, described his upbringing with three words: “God, country, family” and said that credo was responsible for the success of Fox News.

Maybe CNN, MSNBC, NBC, ABC, and CBS should catch a clue and realize the American people aren't as easily brainwashed as they might think.

Or......... they can go ahead and go bankrupt along with the archaic bankrupt ideas and ideals upon which they expound ad nausem!

I missed your dumbass comment of this nature when MSNBC rolled out some Chris Matthews. Can you just link it for me? I'm interested to read about the dressed up crap about NBC.

If I were in a room with you, Hitler, and a gun with one bullet, I'd have a pretty tough decision to make.
