Sark to the Falcons

Well, that's pretty lame. At least it came after NSD.

I wonder if this wasn't a known possibility. Mike Locksley had been named "co"-offensive coordinator, which Saban had never done before.

From the Falcons end I know Sark was always on the shortlist. Don't ask me why, but he was. Not sure where the Chip Kelly to Atl was coming from.

Chip Kelly?

If they do, it will be a complete change in offensive philosophy. And Bama hasn't recruited for a spread type scheme.

For now, since Huffington Post is reporting it, I will wait for an official announcement from the Falcons. Seems they should stick to writing about the virtues of smoking weed, not sports.

They already have their next OC.

Alabama to Promote Mike Locksley to Co-OC

Stands to reason that Locksley is now solo OC. Can't wait to hear editorials from the likes of Rick Neuheisel on how this will be a disastrous promotion from within!!!!

Bama could do worse, and hire Neuheisel. That would be like the Titanic and the Johnstown dam collapse put together.

Bama has the personnel to run the spread for sure. They have the personnel to run any offense they want. Kiffin ran the spread this past season

Saban's getting (even more) crabby with age. How long before it "deteriorates" with Locksley? :)

I don't think Chip Kelly could stomach working under Saban, and Saban wouldn't want him there either. Too many cooks in the kitchen, even though Saban is a defensive guy.

Sarkisian has been in Tuscaloosa since the beginning of last season. He was promoted by Saban to the OC position. You have to wonder how do you have a "systems philosophy" issue after all that?

Maybe Saban is changing course and just wants to do a purge of everything related to Lane.

I would intentionally botch the game against UTK.

No offense, but they could fire you in the 3rd quarter and draw up plays in the huddle and beat most teams.

But go ahead, I'd expect a few punts on 1st down, though.
