No one wants the SEC setting up camp in there backyard, imo.

The "effective immediately" touch was nice. Wasn't Michigan getting prepared to run a satellite camp in GA?

I believe the NCAA did the right thing for once. Most schools don't have the funds to set up shop for a week a 1,000 miles away from campus.

SEC flexed some muscle on this I imagine. Allow it and some will spend like mad to even things out.
The NCAA surely didn't want a United SEC to be upset enough to possibly move to set up 4 power conferences and F the NCAA.

This was about leveling the playing field. The SEC was already banned from doing this exact thing so it wasn't fair that other programs could do it.

Another example of the NCAA doing the opposite of keeping the best interest of the student athlete in mind

Satellite camps allow kids to showcase their skills for a much larger variety of schools that they normally wouldn't be able to do so due to financial circumstances. Outlawing these camps will limit a large majority of kids from being able to attend and that's a
shame.

NCAA again shows it's against anything that might help the kids better themselves

Good. This was never for the kids. This was all about coaches from crappy parts of the country trying to weasel into SEC territory.

Agreed it wasn't started to help the kids but it 100% was a result of that. Kids were helped and banning these hurts kids. Schools have resources so let them use them

Lol

If one can do it all can do it

Instead now let's funnel funny $ to these prospects where they can travel thousands of miles to attend camps on campus's instead. That's clearly what's been happening over the years

If Harbaugh wanted to showcase kids to a larger variety of schools then he would have encouraged all the other SEC coaches to attend his IMG camp in FL.
