I'd like to point out that Tori Spelling, Leah Remini and Denise Richards made appearances as well.

Now that you mention it, I remember them being on the show, especially the first two.

Takes me back, lol.

I was watching the summer beach resort episodes with Leah Remini last weekend on Netflix. Not by my choice, but i didn't complain.

I thought everyone knew about Good Morning, Miss Bliss? the rights to the show were purchased by NBC and they rebooted the show as Saved by Bell!

After checking the wiki page it appears to have aired in 89. By that point I wasnt watching shows like that.

The only reason I watched Saved was when it was syndicated mon-fri afternoons after school. As a Teenager it was one of those shows that you watched due to the cornyness. Even though everyine watched it you were ashamed to admit it. When you did it was to maje fun of it. But secretly tou loved it.

I find this story interesting though. Why reboot a show that wasnt popular at all with the same characters (names) but change everything elae?

I once considered using diet pills to solve my problems, but reconsidered upon seeing Jessie Spanno's gripping rendition of I'm So Excited.

Lulz. One of the greatest moments in TV history.

Because with the minor tweaks it became one of the biggest hits in television history?

Also, saying Jesse Spano belongs after Kelly Kapowski and Lisa Turtle isn't saying that Jesse is ugly. She's just not in Kelly's league.

Actually the story of Good Morning Miss Bliss is even more interesting. The original pilot episode actually was made and aired in 1987 on NBC, and was even more different than the rest of the series. None of the student characters were in the pilot that were in the main series, and others were played by Brian Austin Green (of Beverly Hills 90210 and Megan Fox fame), Jaleel White (Family Matters), and Jonathon Brandis (seaQuest DSV). Haley Mills was Miss Bliss, but other characters like Mr. Belding were played by different actors.

I guess the pilot didn't do well so NBC passed, Disney picked up the rights and retooled the show and debuted it in late 1988.

The best compliment I ever got in my life was a grown woman saying I was the zack Morris of my high school.

Here's part 1 of the original pilot of Good Morning Miss Bliss. Check out that cheesy 80s theme song.

The success of Saved had nothing to do with the previous characterizations of Miss Bliss. They could have made up new names without buying the rights to a terrible show.

Unless there was some sort of contract obligations for the actors to play those characters.

Did you see her booty in Showgirls? Looked like 2 skin flaps flopping around. No thanks.

After reading this thread I had to go look up the actress that played Tori. Turns out she's now a lesbian with short hair. I used to think she was pretty hot.

Yes she was, but in some strange way for reasons I can't explain, her hotness just went up another level.

Look up her sisters then. She's actually a triplet. Joy Creel and Monica Lacey. In this case nature not only gives a redo, but it a bonus chance.
