The rules seem kind of like Real World Road Rules on physical fights. If you get in a name calling fight with someone, both get banned. If they call you a name and you do not call back, then only the name caller is banned.

I honestly think that will make this forum so much more enjoyable. I just wish Bruce Pearl could register to be on the site so that he could not be called names as well.

So now there are 3 threads in the basketball forum that have been dominated by people attacking hatvol, and those people being attacked. Would it be possible to keep that sort of thing to one thread? Is it always necessary to flame hatvol for any perceived slight? Is it always necessary to point out the stupidity of the people that attack hatvol? I realize that many like to read this junk, but taking up three threads is ridiculous.

I agree, if it's an argument between two people that's fine. Unfortunately the groupies show up to defend their leaders Honor and it turns ugly. Hat has good insight, sometimes biased but he contributes a lot to the site.

I made a thread which contained every insult repeated by hat over and over towards cbp. It was nuked. I think maybe now with the no namecalling rule there will be a kinder and gentler forum. I also do not know about anyone else on here, but I did not start the fighting with that guy, but I did enjoy finishing it.

It is never finished. This bickering is like the Energizer Bunny. Just out of curiosity, why do you take the insults to Pearl and staff so personally? I think that hatvol and BPV add a lot to the discussions of basketball, and just choose to ignore any insults to the staff. It doesn't affect my respect for the coaches or my love of the Vols.

Especially with his brilliant call of how I said St. Mary's would beat Vandy and had them in my Top 25. Then, when shown to be wrong, he pointed out that my number 23 beat my number 25 team. That's why he's so dominant. I get a funny feeling we're about to find out how well he can carry a site. The name Bret Hart comes to mind. Wonder how this place would do without the nWo type element. It'd be interesting to find out.
