I've reported UT is in preseason NIT in New York next year....I heard the field included UCLA, Villanova and NC along with Vols.

I was told that a couple of days ago, again, too...

Maybe NC backed out? I'll ask.

Wait a minute...I pictured Hat as a older attorney, maybe wearing patches on the elbows of his tweed jacket as he went into court in his lucky shoes to defend another drunken driver. Now I read this and he watches wrestling? This from the man who despises "mouth breathers" and "trailer trash"?

Was his Illinois fan hatred of Bruce Pearl first hand or is he a padawan to a Jedi master of hatred, some coach up in Illinois who blames his professional failings on the Deon investigation?

Hat when you read your trap and see your prediction about Northern Iowa which was wrong and which you never responded to, your qualified prediction about St. Mary's which was weak in that you used if so that you could say I told you so if they won but not take heat if they lost, and finally your bragging about a team that just lost at home and who are far from making it to a real top 25, it makes me smile.

I thought this staff was incompetent?

You are saying that even if UNC backed out they would be playing Jay Wright and Villanova and one of the greatest basketball programs of all time in the Bruins of UCLA? This cant be right...:eek:k:

Funny how these little discussions get so out of hand. Some people need to get a grip. If you can get over Hatvol's willingness to speak his mind, you'll learn that he knows more about hoops than most of us care (or have the time) to ever learn. As proof to his earlier assertion, I'm big on Bruce, and Hat and I regularly share a beer and discussion pre- or post-game. Of course, I also realize that there are glaring deficiencies in Pearl's coaching that I'd love to see him improve...

Preseason NIT and Maui Invite are the two most prestigious preseason tournaments. Great exposure for Tennessee in the next couple of preseasons.
