We’re losing a lot of production on the DL this offseason, so getting Garner another young guy to work with who’s already got a year of S&C and 4 years of eligibility will be huge for keeping guys fresh. So to be clear, he's a true freshman and this was to be a redshirt season? I'm definitely on board with that especially if Rodney wants him. I'd feel better if it were an OL, but hey, big uglies are welcome one and all. Our doors are always open.
Yes, Eason and Norman-Lott can definitely come back, that’s why I’m asking. Hadden is gone. Wesley Walker can (and I assume will) come back. I’d be shocked if Baron or Thomas return. Both have a Covid year.Everyone other than Hadden and Walker can come back (I think)
Baron and O are probably gone, but I do wonder if most plan on coming back and that’s why we haven’t recruited DL that hard
With a report that Michigan has rescinded their extension offer, I have to think the speculation that Harbaugh might be done at Michigan isn't so far from the truth. We might not draw from the same recruiting waters, but with the NIL/portal, I wouldn't mind kicking the tires with some of their linemen. All they can do is say no. Heard a lot of that when I was a single guy, but eventually, the blind squirrel scored a nut.Along with every time he gets in front of a camera, the implication of being connected to the Michigan scandal and individual handlings of SC recruits and this one he actually signed.

All it takes is one yes. With a report that Michigan has rescinded their extension offer, I have to think the speculation that Harbaugh might be done at Michigan isn't so far from the truth. Inside DL is a bigger deficiency for UT right now than OL.So to be clear, he's a true freshman and this was to be a redshirt season? I'm definitely on board with that especially if Rodney wants him. Yeah, I am actually not fond of refusing to burn your redshirt. I don't know what he was promised and there are probably a lot of details we will never know. Anyway, if it hurts SC and helps us, then I am good with it.South Carolina coaches could've also taken his unwillingness to play as concerns he might transfer anyway.
Never underestimate the ability of other programs to negative recruit. If Smart, Saban, Stoops…basically any HC are pursuing a SC high school prospect? It’ll be referenced…repeatedly! Swinney will wear it like Joseph’s coat.Tennessee fans seem to be the only ones who care him being implicated in the Michigan thing. No one even mentions his name when the thing is talked about
