UT has lost to South Carolina 3 times in 21 games played at Neyland Stadium.
2005: USCjr kicks a FG in the final 2 minutes to beat a 5-6 UT team, 16-15.
2011: One of the best Gamecock teams of all time with Conner Shaw, Marshon Lattimore and Alshon Jeffrey musters just 14 points to beat a 5-7 UT team that had the worst offense I’ve ever seen (besides maybe 2008), 14-3, in a game where if UT had even a pulse on offense, they would’ve won. South Carolina had multiple turnovers that UT failed to capitalize on.
2017: Against the worst UT team of all-time, South Carolina lets an absolutely pathetic offense led by JG drive all the way down to the 2 yard line. Brandon Johnson fails to catch the walk-off touchdown on the game’s final play and Carolina holds on by the skin of their gamecocks to beat a 4-8 UT team, 15-9.
As you can see, USCjr has never defeated a UT team in Neyland Stadium that finished above 500. Pretty darn confident this team can get to 6-6. Beating them in Williams-Brice has been difficult for the majority of the last 22 years. We are 6-5 there since 2000.
