SC/Missouri

She spoke up against the commentators when TN struck out and said stick to calling games and we will stick to recruiting and coaching. She also was the first to tweet out about our win over Texas ( and was repping the SEC).

I think she has class now can she be over the top yes! But I think she was trying to get someone/anyone to listen😂

I am no fan of her not taking young adults to Washington DC to celebrate their championship with the current president. I am confident she would send them to celebrate with the last president. I see that as being low class

Sorry she had a chance to lead and not follow. Unfortunately I will always remember her for not stepping up.
Most people are afraid to call her out I guess. I won’t say anything else about it.

Maybe the president should’ve invited them in a timely manner, not after the season started and the schedule had been made.

They were invited to come during their season. What exactly was she supposed to do? Contrary to what Trump and his supporters think, the world doesn't revolve around him.

They would've gone under the last president because the last president, unlike this one, has common sense and would've invited the team to come during the summer, per usual standards.

There's nothing dirty about Missouri or the way they play.

And just because a player is a "star" doesn't mean she should be treated any differently than any other player by the refs. (BTW, I believe Mizzou outscored SC even while Wilson was on the floor!)

There were 20 fouls called against Mizzou. The foul calls were even until the last two minutes when SC had to foul every few seconds to try and get back in the game.

In last year's Mizzou - SC game Missouri was called for more fouls than SC and still won by a point.

A coach has no right to call the league before a game and ask for different refs. Even if that coach is the current National Champ and feels that the Conference should bow to her every demand.

It's pretty simple. SC got outplayed and out-coached today and they lost.

Two points...

1. South Carolina was missing close in throughout the second half.

2. The same crew called their nasty contest last year. Dawn complained to the SEC and they told her it was a coincidence. Another example I think of the SEC's cavalier attitude toward WBB.

Read on another board that racial slurs were yelled at South Carolina players and staff by Missouri's fans. Anybody with eyes could see Missouri flops and plays dirty. Sophie Cunningham grabbed Cliney by the neck. How is that not dirty? I wish South Carolina would have adjusted and played some type of zone defense. I'm still in awe that the refs didn't catch on to all the flopping.

I see Coach Law has brought her expertise to bear for USC already. Their guards were clueless and the whole team played like crap. Well done, Jolette

The last POTUS invited any and all teams on a TIMELY BASIS. And the present POTUS would have invited an all white WCBB team in a heartbeat. Hold it up? The only team he invited in a timely way was the Hockey Team? How many nonwhites on that team? This POTUS earns every negative comment made about him. You gotta give respect to get respect. Compared to POTUS, Staley has a ton of class

Flopping is a problem in girl's basketball. Maybe the official should enforce the NBA rules

NBA releases guidelines for anti-flopping rule | NBA.com

n the NBA, the penalty for "flopping" is a technical foul if caught in-game, and a fine if caught after the game in video reviews. The technical foul is a non-unsportsmanlike conduct technical foul (one of six fouls a player may be assessed before disqualification; no ejection is possible).

You are wrong. They play dirty and end up getting away with the same crap Kentucky used to get away with. The league needs to clamp down on them and get them back in line with playing basketball and not rugby.

South Carolina Missouri basketball: Did Tigers play dirty? | The State
Take a look at the second video. No foul called on Cunningham...what??? She almost snapped her head off!

Go Lady Vols!!!!

Good grief! That second video... wow. And the first one, I couldn’t actually see what #21 did because #20 was blocking the view, but by the way A’ja’s head snapped back and she put her hand up holding her mouth it looked like the girl intentionally elbowed her in the face.

Something needs to be done about these nasty playing heifers!!! Watching those videos I can see how Dawn would have been infuriated!

Sally Bell - supervisor of officials (memory from my past when she was on the court).

The St. Louis paper reporting on the game stated that Staley was upset that two of the three officials were the same who had done the game the previous year in Columbia and she sent a text to Sally Bell finding fault with that decision. The Missouri coach acknowledged that their game plan was to be physical with SC and could understand Staley being somewhat miffed, but she stated the SEC is a physical conference.

For those with long memories - when Duke beat the undefeated Holdsclaw and 2 meeks years back - the physical contact allowed against Holdsclaw was significant to the outcome.

Wow! You can’t really see what happens on the first one, maybe Aj’a is an award winning actress....guess it’s possible (and no, I’m not buying that, but at that angle vision is blocked so....). But the second one! That should be sent to SEC and NCAA; there is NO excuse for that. Player should be suspended and possibly coach or university reprimanded for tolerating such behavior - i.e. no consequences to player.

Typical mizzery “basketball “. Dirtiest team around and cunningham is a disgrace. Her parents should hang their heads in shame; maybe they do. Louisville and schomer were just as bad against Baylor, but even they didn’t do it every game they played. Have to admit, those two games were worse than mizzery’s normal dirty, trashy play. And schomer and cunningham are a matched pair.

JohnStL, And, yes, I was at the Duke game that year. Until mizzery and louisville came along I always said that was the worst reffed game ever. Even then, if Semeka had not been undercut previously by some no name player from some no name school, I think we would have overcome the poor reffing and duke dirty play. That said, physical play is not by definition dirty play, although it can be. mizzery is just consistently a dirty team with trashy players and coach.

jmo from watching the games for years.

As to Sally Ball, I always agreed with Roger...her ponytail was pulled too tight.

Can the SEC/NCAA do anything after the fact? Remember Auburn’s coach said they played dirty last year. They are going to get someone really hurt. That second video is bad. This is just one step away from punching someone.
